Alice Eagly, a social psychology professor at Northwestern University, stated that male bosses are perceived to be better at their work, in comparison to females because it is a general cultural phenomenon to give preferences to men over women.
In a recently concluded poll in the United States about the central position taken by either male or a female management, 44 percent concluded that a male manager is preferred over a female manager. 38 percent said they had no preference and only 18 percent preferred a female manager.
