SOLUTIONSSOLUTIONS• Solutions are a special type of mixture in which particles (solute) are dissolved in a solvent (usually H2O). These particles are not permanently changed when in solution.• A solution forms when a material dissolves in a liquid. The material cannot be retrieved using a filter or a screen but can be retrieved by evaporation of the solvent (H2O) in which it is dissolved.
