Welcome to the 2015West Racine Art Walk. It’s hard to believe it’s been twelve years! I looked at the longrange forecast for this Saturday and it is “Sunny with Smiles”on the streets of West Racine.
This year we are featuring nine different artists in water-color, woodturning, fiber art, bead art, painted guitars andweaving. As always, we will have a drawing for prizes donat-ed by this year’s artists at the end of the event. Simply pickup a punch card at any of the artist locations. Be sure to takeit to each of the artist locations on the map to be punched orstamped. Simple drop it in the box at the last location youvisit. You do not have to be present for the drawing. Winnerswill be notified the week of April 26th.
Many of the participating businesses will be offering in-storespecials. There will be special activities for kids at The RedBell.
This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know many of ourtalented area artists and to support the local art community. And while you are here, be sure to visit the many wonder-ful shops, restaurants and bakeries in Wonderful, WalkableWest Racine. Remember, when you shop with local mer-chants, more of your money stays right here in the RacineCommunity.

Janet AsalaMedium:Bead ArtistLocation:Wilson’s Coffee & Tea3306 Washington Ave.
I’ve been beading for about 6-7 years and it all start-ed with a simple birthday gift from my daughter ofa beading kit for a strung bracelet. I found I loved it,started to take a couple of classes and moved on tostringing projects from beginners to advanced andfound it became extremely addictive and challeng-ing! I have made many new “beading friends” andcherish both, my friends and my beading!
