III) ELIGIBILITY :- The candidates fulfilling the following criteria are eligible to apply:Age as on 02/05/2013.

i) ITI candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24years of age

ii) The upper age limit is relax able by 05 years and 03 years in the case of SCs/STs and OBCsrespectively, as per extent rules.

IV) Minimum Education Qualification:-Must have Passed 10th class examination under (SSC) and passed I.T.I in relevant trades,(as applicable)

NOTE:-1) Attested copies of SSC passed Mark sheet& ITI in respective trade tabulated in Para I and II as

applicable passed certificate along with Mark sheet, Certificate showing Date of Birth, Castecertificate are compulsorily to be enclosed with the application. In absence of which theapplication will be rejected and no claim thereafter will be entertained.

2) Applications of ITI passed candidates other than the trades specified in table of Para I and IIwill not be considered.

3) No specified quota/reservation will be given to the Physical Handicapped Candidates, but PHcandidates i.e. only OH(OL), LV & HH candidates are eligible to apply in the trade ofRefrigeration & Air Conditioned Mechanic Trade and only OH (OL, OA) candidates are eligible toapply in the trade of Wireman but their merit will be decided as per the General Merit.

4) Application of Physical Handicapped candidates other than OH, LV & HH (as shown in Para 3above) will not be considered.

Physical Fitness:-Candidates will have to confirm to the standard of physical fitness as prescribed for

appointment to the relevant trades examined by the Rly. Medical Authority for their medicalfitness.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

SELECTION:-Selection for Act Apprentice would be based on merit without any written

examination.The Merit would consist of:-

1. The Percentage of marks obtained in 10th class at Board Level (State /ICSE/CBSE) with Minimum 50% marks. (Aggregate)

2. Weight age of 5% (Marks) for an additional ITI qualification.

(As such there will be no Written examination or viva-voce)

3. The Apprentices will be given training for a period of one year / two year (asapplicable)

4. The Apprentices will be paid stipend during the training period @ Rs. 1700/- P.Mfor first year and @ Rs. 1970/- P.M for the second year.

5. The selected candidates will have to pass the prescribed medical examinationand physical fitness before engagement, for which the candidates will have topay a sum of Rs. 24/- towards medical examination fee.

6. The selected candidates will be governed by the apprentices Act 1961. Thecandidates who is selected (if Major) will have to execute a contract ofApprenticeship or by his father / guardian in case the apprentice is a minor. Incase the Apprentice fails to complete the training for reasons not acceptable tothe Apprenticeship advisor, he or his father/guardian will have to pay the cost oftraining to the employer as decided by the Apprenticeship Advisor in accordancewith the terms and conditions of the contract.

7. There is no guarantee for appointment or employment after completionof the training

8. No residential accommodation will be provided by the Railway Administrationduring the course of training and therefore, the Apprentices will have to maketheir own arrangements.

9. The contract of Apprenticeship shall terminate on the expiry of the period oftraining. On the successful completion of their training the Apprentices will haveto undergo a trade test conducted by:-The Directorate General of Employment & Training, Ministry of Labour

and employment, Government of India, New Delhi.On all India basis and the successful candidates will be awarded national

Apprenticeship Certificates.

10. Apprentices will be governed by the leave rules as in force for other Apprenticeson railways

11. Incomplete application or those, which are not according to theinstructions mentioned in this notification, will be rejected and no claimthereafter will be entertained.

5. The SC/ST/OBC candidates will have to submitted a copy of the caste certificate dulyattested by Gazetted officer in the form shown in Annexure “C’ & “D” as applicable (whichis only a specimen. The candidates should submit the caste certificate in the form asprescribed by the Government of India and as applicable to the area where he/she/his/herfamily resides) duly signed by the competent authority. The list of the competentauthority is shown in Annexure ‘D’

6. Two passport size photographs duly signed must be sent with the application form, onemust be affixed on the space provided in the application form and second stapled.

7. Two self addressed stamped envelopes (size 15cm x 23 cm) of Rs. 10/- each should beattached along with the application form.

8. Any kind of canvassing will disqualify the candidate.9. The candidates should be either be:-

i) registered with the employment Exchange/Special Employment exchange at page-2ii) should be ward of Railway Employee oriii) recommended/nominated by the organizations as mentioned in the notification at

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

SELECTION:-Selection for Act Apprentice would be based on merit without any written

examination.The Merit would consist of:-

1. The Percentage of marks obtained in 10th class at Board Level (State /ICSE/CBSE) with Minimum 50% marks. (Aggregate)

2. Weight age of 5% (Marks) for an additional ITI qualification.

(As such there will be no Written examination or viva-voce)

3. The Apprentices will be given training for a period of one year / two year (asapplicable)

4. The Apprentices will be paid stipend during the training period @ Rs. 1700/- P.Mfor first year and @ Rs. 1970/- P.M for the second year.

5. The selected candidates will have to pass the prescribed medical examinationand physical fitness before engagement, for which the candidates will have topay a sum of Rs. 24/- towards medical examination fee.

6. The selected candidates will be governed by the apprentices Act 1961. Thecandidates who is selected (if Major) will have to execute a contract ofApprenticeship or by his father / guardian in case the apprentice is a minor. Incase the Apprentice fails to complete the training for reasons not acceptable tothe Apprenticeship advisor, he or his father/guardian will have to pay the cost oftraining to the employer as decided by the Apprenticeship Advisor in accordancewith the terms and conditions of the contract.

7. There is no guarantee for appointment or employment after completionof the training

8. No residential accommodation will be provided by the Railway Administrationduring the course of training and therefore, the Apprentices will have to maketheir own arrangements.

9. The contract of Apprenticeship shall terminate on the expiry of the period oftraining. On the successful completion of their training the Apprentices will haveto undergo a trade test conducted by:-The Directorate General of Employment & Training, Ministry of Labour

and employment, Government of India, New Delhi.On all India basis and the successful candidates will be awarded national

Apprenticeship Certificates.

10. Apprentices will be governed by the leave rules as in force for other Apprenticeson railways

11. Incomplete application or those, which are not according to theinstructions mentioned in this notification, will be rejected and no claimthereafter will be entertained.
