Wellbeing Conference 2013 Employee wellbeing is an increasingly relevant and necessary consideration in the modern workplace. Businesses are under pressure to increase productivity, improve efficiency and effectiveness, and reduce costs. There is extensive evidence showing that people with higher levels of wellbeing perform better. From productivity & profitability to resilience, engagement and effort, higher levels of wellbeing consistently predict higher levels of performance. Now in its fourth successful year, the Allianz Health and Wellbeing Conference in partnership with Surrey Chambers of Commerce will bring together experts in the field of health and wellbeing to share their knowledge, experience and expertise. Working days lost 27 million days were lost overall (17 days per case). 22.7 million due to work-related ill health and 4.3 million due to workplace injury. Economic costs to Britain Workplace injuries and ill health (excluding cancer) cost society an estimated £13.4 billion in 2010/11.
