Michael Friedrich, tenorWhen blossoms flowered ‘mid the snows Upon a winter night Was born the Child, the Christmas Rose, The King of Love and Light. The angels sang the shepherds sang, The grateful earth rejoiced, And at His blessed birth the stars Their exultation voiced. O come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord. Again the heart with rapture glows To greet the holy night That gave the world its Christmas Rose, Its King of Love and Light. Let every voice acclaim His name, The grateful chorus swell, From paradise to earth He came That we with Him might dwell. O come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord. Ah! adore Him Christ the Lord.

“God Is

Speaking”
A New Sermon Series
Sundays January 14, 21, 28 and February 4, 11 How do we hear God’s voice today? Many people sincerely want to follow God’s
guidance but they struggle with hearing God’s voice telling them what is re-
quired. Using episodes from the lives of Samuel, Elijah, Isaiah, the Israelites
wandering in the wilderness, and Jesus, we will learn how to better attune our
hearts and minds to hear God speaking to us today.
Flannery O’Connor Discussion Group

Thursdays January—December 2:00—3:15
pm. We will discuss one of her short stories
each month. The first meeting for 2018 will be
Thursday, January 4 in the Small Dining Room.
Contact the Front Desk (336.884.2204) or
