Why we are doing it?

Inculcate in pupils a sense of personal responsibility and good life habits

Allow pupils an opportunity to do their part in keeping the school clean

Daily classroom duty roster at the beginning of the day and at the end of the day (may include corridor)

P6 classes will be scheduled to help clean the canteen

Homework

‘Homework’ is defined as being any learning

activity that pupils are required by the school to

complete outside of curriculum time, either

independently or in partnership with a parent /

guardian. This includes assignments and projects

but not revision of school work or studying for

tests and examinations.

homework

Benefits of homework:

reinforces learning and deepens understanding

of lessons taught;

allow pupils to regularly practise, and apply skills

and concepts taught;

develop good study skills and habits; and

encourage greater ownership and responsibility

for independent learning.

Homework also provides parents with:

a) timely information on the learning progress of their

child; and

b) opportunity to be involved in the child’s learning.

Teachers will remind pupils to write in their dairy

incomplete work, so that parents are aware and can

monitor the child’s work

Learning Management System

The school hopes to provide pupils with opportunities to

take ownership of their own learning.

The school subscribes to Marshall Cavendish (MC) Online

learning portal to provide students with access to a huge

repository of learning resources to revise and enhance

their learning.

The school will also periodically deliver assignments

through the portal.

Every pupil will be provided with a personal user account.
