Provide Giveaways Welcome to Glendale is always looking for promotional merchandise to use for contests and events throughout the year. Consider providing giveaways to be used in social media and event promotions throughout the year. See page 6.

Glendale Deals Share deals and promotions from your business to be hosted for free on the “Glendale Deals” page on the Welcome to Glendale website and in the monthly deals and promotions e-newsletter. See pages 3 & 4.

The City of Glendale’s tourism website, WelcomeToGlendale.com, serves as the go-to resource for residents, visitors and tourists, and provides the latest information on our city and area attractions.

The website offers several opportunities to showcase your business and any events or news items your company would like to share. Here are a few of the websites’ tools that may be most useful for you as a Glendale business:

BUSINESS DIRECTORY

The Welcome to Glendale business directory features a listing of all businesses in the City of Glendale, categorized by type. These listings also include links to the businesses’ website. To provide the best information possible to residents and visitors, please ensure your listing is accurate and up to date. If you are not already included in the directory and would like to be, or would like updates to your listing, please contact [email protected].

GLENDALE ONLINE FEATURED BUSINESS

Get your business noticed! For an annual fee, Welcome to Glendale offers local businesses the opportunity to purchase featured listings on the website. Featured businesses are displayed at the top of the listing for the business category (all other businesses are listed alphabetically), receive a larger listing block and are eligible to include a photo and detailed business description. Interested in receiving more information? Please contact [email protected].

GLENDALE DEALS As a new addition to the Welcome to Glendale website, businesses are now able to share information about promotions to be featured on the “Glendale Deals” page. Welcome to Glendale invites you to share deals and promotions of any nature or length at your business you’d like hosted on this page. We’ll schedule these listings to go live during the duration of the deal. This is a FREE opportunity for all Glendale businesses. Emailed to more than 8,000 subscribers, the Welcome to Glendale e-newsletters are delivered quarterly and monthly offering information about news and events, and deals and promotions. We invite you to provide information to Welcome to Glendale on a rolling basis throughout the year for inclusion in upcoming subscriber communications by mailing them to [email protected]. As a local business, we encourage you to consider supporting your fellow local businesses. Whether planning your businesses’ next special event or hosting clients, the City of Glendale has a selection of premier dining, entertainment and hotel options to meet your business needs.

Have your visitors stay at Glendale hotels;

Extra inventory lying around? Welcome to Glendale is always looking for promotional materials to use to promote the city at events and on our social media channels. Consider providing items to Welcome to Glendale to be used in social media sweepstakes and event promotions throughout the year. Throughout the year, your business will also be alerted of these opportunities via email. Although we welcome all promotional materials, recommended items include:

Welcome to Glendale social media giveaways are a great source of high traffic and engagement. The 2013 Welcome to Glendale Wisconsin Beer Lovers Festival Weekend Getaway Sweepstakes saw more than 450 visitors and more than 190 entries. The Welcome to Glendale Facebook page experienced an increased of nearly 200 “fans” as a result of the promotion.
