2021 State Finals BOYS VOLLEYBALL STATE FINALSOn behalf of the Glenbard West Administration,Faculty and Students, I want to welcome andthank you for joining us for the 2020-2021IHSA Boys Volleyball State Tournament.

Your presence matters a great deal to eachand every one of these athletes. It affirms theimportance of this endeavor to which they havegiven so much time and effort. High school interscholastic programs are so important toall of us, especially during these challenging times. These contests offer a source ofreasonable, accessible, and healthy entertainment for all members of our communities. They also provide a large portion of the foundation upon which all of our students andstaff build positive school identity, climate, and spirit.

This event will showcase the very best in high school boys volleyball. The studentathletes we will watch are not only talented on the court but also continue to excel in theclassroom. They have a healthy and mature respect for competition and their opponent. They understand how to accept responsibility for what they do or fail to do. Theywelcome challenge because they know that by facing challenge they grow. They learnthat winning is not determined by a final score but by defining and fulfilling their potential.Thank you to all of the coaches who help instill these attitudes on a daily basis.

We ask for your help as well in reinforcing these important lessons. Our students lookto all of us to set standards of sportsmanship and integrity. We encourage you to cheerfor all outstanding performances and support this learning process. Congratulations toall of your teams as they compete this weekend!
