WHAT’S NEXT?
I thought it important to communicate with you as we
continue to develop policies and a plan for a restart-
ing of parish programs and activities. I ask for your
patience so that we may continue the life of our faith
community here in Falmouth in a way that will adhere
to state and diocesan policies for the safety of those
who participate. Thanks. Fr Steve
FAITH FORMATION
Over the past few weeks, Jonathan Galo, our Faith
FormaEon Director, has been working with Fr. Steve
and other directors and parents regarding how to
offer Faith FormaEon to our youth this coming Fall.
The program will take on a different look as a result of
the pandemic, but we will soon be sharing with you a
very creaEve and we believe, effecEve program that
will provide a firm foundaEon for your children and
your enEre family. More informaEon coming soon!

PARISH ACTIVITIES
We have put together a policy for parish groups as
they consider what to do this coming Fall. We are sEll
awaiEng some direcEon from the diocese but a policy
has been shared with leaders of the many parish
groups in our collaboraEve. Please do not schedule
any programs or meeEngs unEl you have submi=ed
your plan and meeEng dates to Fr. Steve or Dan
Cunha, our business manager. Thanks so much.
CATHOLIC COMMUNITY OF FALMOUTH
The 79th Annual Fall River Diocesan Catholic Appeal “See All
the People” has concluded for this year. . Thanks to all who
contributed, parcularly during these challenging mes.
While we will have a final tally in the next few weeks, here
are the totals so far for each parish.
PARISH TOTALS AS OF MON. AUG 10, 2020

ST. ELIZABETH SETON $40,250.00 donors 169
ST. PATRICK $29,315.00 donors 92

HAVE YOU FILLED OUT YOUR NEW CENSUS FORM? We are presently
undertaking the task of taking a new census of our parishes. If you did
not fill one out, you may pick one up at one of our parish offices, or
call and we will mail one to you. You may also do this online on our
website. PLEASE fill out and return to one of our parish offices or
place in collecon box. Much of our present data is incomplete and
outdated, so we would appreciate your help so that we may be=er
serve you and your family in the future. If you are seasonal members,
please note that on your form. Thanks!
WEEKDAY MASS CHANGE On Monday, August 10th, we began to distribute communion FOR WEEKDAY
MASSES (ONLY) at the regular me in the Mass. This is not only to return to the more proper Eme for the
distribuEon of Holy Communion allowing for personal prayer and thanksgiving a0er Communion but will also
allow us to resume some postMass devoEons. We will sEll need help to saniEze the churches a0erwards. So
please consider helping us out. If we see any compromise to safety and the inability to properly sanize the
church, we will need to revert to the original plan. So let’s see how it goes. Thanks.
Thank you all for a wonderful Summer in Falmouth! It was certainly a unique one,
but I am glad to have journeyed with you during these challenging mes. It has been
a joy to get to know many of you over these past two months, and I am grateful for
all of your support and the immense kindness you have shown me. Through serving
at Mass, weddings, funerals, and doing weekly reflecons, I’ve connued to grow as
a person, develop the necessary skills for priestly ministry, and gained more clarity
in my discernment. I am also thankful to Fr. Steve and Fr. Ryan for welcoming me
into their home and guiding me and teaching me many valuable things along the
way! Thank you for your connued prayers, they mean so much to me, and they tru-
ly carry me through the ups and downs of the seminary year. May God bless you all
with his peace and love! With prayers, John Garabedian

We appreciate your support of our parishes, espe-
cially during this difficult *me when collec*ons
have diminished. Thanks to those who have
dropped off their envelopes and other donaons.
If you wish to place your dona*on in just one en-
velope (as opposed to mul*ple weekly envelopes,)
please feel free to do so. All three parishes can
now par*cipate in the WESHARE online donaon
program As you know, the weekly collec*on is
our primary means of support. From this, we must
pay u*li*es, insurance and most importantly, our
faithful employees. Thanks to all. Fr Steve

PARISH AND CEMETERY OFFICE HOURS
All parish offices are open on limited hours. Please call
beforehand.

SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION
Bishop Edgar de Cunha, Bishop of the Fall River Dio-
cese, will return to confer the Sacrament of Confir-
maEon on the remaining youth of our three parishes
at a special Mass on Sunday, August 16th at 2pm at
St. Anthony’s Church (currently the only church in
our collaboraEve with livestream capability.) Please
keep our youth in your prayers on these special days.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION
Some of the children of our three parishes will re-
ceive their First Holy Communion at a special Mass
on Sunday, Aug 30th at 2pm at St. Anthony’s Church
in order to be able to broadcast the Mass via
livestream for family members who might not be
able to a=end.

STILL NOT COMFORTABLE
COMING INTO CHURCH BUT WOULD LIKE TO
RECEIVE HOLY COMMUNION?
For those who are sEll a bit apprehensive to come
into the church, Masses at St. Anthony’s and St. Eliz-
abeth Seton can be listened to on your car radio in
the parking lots on FM 87.9. Communion will be dis-
tributed at the end of Mass, at St. Anthony’s East
Door and St. Elizabeth Seton front door.

THANKS
Thanks to the MANY volunteers who are assisEng in
serving as ushers and saniEzing the churches between
Masses. Without this group of people, we could not
have been able to remain open. It is no small feat con-
sidering that there are 12 weekend Masses in our col-
laboraEve. We are especially in need of assistance at
St. Thomas Chapel and St. Elizabeth Seton Church. If
anyone would like to volunteer to assist, please con-
tact the specific parish office and we will get your
name to the coordinators.

WORLDWIDE MARRIAGE ENCOUNTER
Worldwide Marriage Encounter is sponsoring a virtual
marriage experience called RestoreRekindle
Renew. This Enrichment Experience will meet via
Zoom for seven sessions on Monday evenings Septem-
ber 14 to October 26 from 79:30pm. RegistraEon is
$50. Call 8007109963 or h=ps://wwmema.org/.
SAFETY FIRST
We are grateful to those a=ending Mass who are fol-
lowing the policy put in place as a result of the pan-
demic. However, the policy is only as good as those
who cooperate with it. Please follow the direcEons of
the ushers and sit filling in the pews from the front. It
is disheartening to hear people complaining that they
can’t sit where they want. When people do this, it is
hard to know what seats are available and will ulE-
mately mean less people will be able to come into the
church. Masks are required unless a medical condi-
Eon prevents you from wearing one. At the conclusion
of Mass please DO NOT CONGREGATE at the doors of
the church. Now is not the Eme to be lax. It would be
a shame if public Masses were disconEnued again
a0er all the hard effort that has been made. The best
policy: think of others before yourself! Thanks.

SES ANNUAL COLLECTION
Registered parishioners should be receiving in the
mail a le=er from Fr. Steve regarding the Annual Col-
lecEon. As you know, the Annual CollecEon supple-
ments our weekly collecEons as well as provides
funds for ongoing maintenance and various other
projects. Especially this year, with collecEons down
because of the Pandemic, we are appealing for your
help. If you did not receive the le=er at home, please
drop by or call the Rectory. Thanks so much for any-
thing that you can do.
