In September, 2015, Morrow Co SD was awarded funds to purchase Oregon produced or processed food
under SB 501 non-compe ve Farm to School Grant for reimbursement of Oregon grown or processed food.
This award amount was calculated by taking the 50% of the award amount for the non-compe ve grant for
this school year, and dividing it by all of the Na onal School Lunch Program (NSLP) lunches served by those
School Food Authori es that opted in for this grant for this school year. This is the 2nd year for this grant.
The period for this grant is from July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016. The Award for Morrow County School
District is:
The process to receive the grant money is to go through all the Sodexo vendor invoices to see what items
meet the criteria of Oregon grown or processed. There is a spreadsheet to fill and submit to the Oregon De-
partment of Educa on. MCSD received the reimbursement. There are several items that are purchased that
meet this criteria.

Every day, 21 million students are able to enjoy a nutritionally balanced, low-cost or free lunch during the school year. That’s compared to only 3.5 million children who receive summer meals. Sodexo created Feeding Our Future to help close the summer meal gap and ensure kids get the nutritious meals they need to thrive.
Since 1997, the program has provided over 4.6 million meals to children nationwide. Feeding Our Future owes its success to the longstanding partnerships between Sodexo, our client and vendor partners, and local hunger-relief organizations.
This summer, Feeding Our Future will provide 400,000 free meals to kids in 24 cities across the U.S. Learn more about Stop Hunger and how you can get in-volved at www.SodexoFoundation.org.
Welcome to the Clubhouse!
We Asked …
We talked to kids around the country to find out what
was important to them related to their lunch experience
at school. The results were priceless!
While curious about experiences (new flavors, playing
games, etc.), most spoke to the preference for creature
comforts, with common themes of “Food, Friends &
Fun.”
They Answered …
We followed that up by creating 3 different potential
programs, and reconvened our focus groups to get their
feedback - The Clubhouse was the overwhelming
favorite.
To further validate our efforts, we talked to the kids at
our pilot site installations, and everyone loved it!
We Delivered …
The result is a program offer designed For Kids, By
Kids.
The Clubhouse provides incredible flexibility to
customize no matter what budget and/or facility
challenges we encounter, transforming any space into a
fun and engaging area that kids will look forward to
frequenting - and it’s not just about the décor. The
comprehensive support materials provide site staff clear
directions around food standards & customer service as
well – all designed to ensure a positive customer
experience for every student we serve!
