    STAKEHOLDERS?

Take a few moments and think about

all of the individuals FOP touches

    and affects. Consider which

    stakeholders you want to stay

focused on as you make your

decision about which way to vote.

    Would the important stakeholders

you have in mind benefit from

converting to a charter or staying an

    alternative school?

In issue #5, we stated that parentshave voiced concern about the annualtransfers they currently have torequest in order for their children toattend FOP.

A parent asked what exactly ournumbers are and how will our

population be affected? These areimportant questions to considerwhether you have to request transfersor not.

Currently, 65% of our students comefrom within the MCS district and35% come from other school districtsaround our larger community.

So, how would we be affected if welost 35% of our students?

no two children are alike. Although FOP is guided by district policies,

(Voting Day)We will discuss the hat Ifs and What In other words, what would likelychange and what would likely not change if weconverted to a dependent charter? We will alsodiscuss the roles of some of the stake holders.

Last week a parent raised concern that we do not accept submissionsfor the weekly Tie Dye. So, we thought perhaps we did not explainclearly. The tie dye was created to aid in the whole schoolcommunication process from & to staff, PAG and very activecommittees with important information that needs to get out to parentsquickly. The Tie Dye is only one page. We do encourage questionsand comments which we will pass onto the appropriate person orcommittee and report back. If you would like to write something forall parents to view, the Link is not limited on space & will continue toaccept submissions. Reminders for deadlines will continue to occur.
