Growing Spiritually

WEEKEND MESSAGE The crowd in this week’s sermon text seeks to understand Jesus, this man from a poor place with no skilled learning who astonish-es everyone by His powerful teachings in the Temple. Yet Jesus’ response is simple: “This teaching is not mine, it’s from Him who sent me.” Jesus isn’t passing the blame onto God, but what is He doing here? And what is our response to Jesus’ teachings? Lord, lead us to follow your will and seek you out in our lives. Amen.

Elburn Affiliated Mission Community - (AMC) Teams have begun their work to answer YOUR questions.

What about other Lutheran Churches in the area? Pastor Trudy has a meeting set with Grace, Lily Lake and has had conversa-

tions with other local ELCA pastors. Do we know how many Lutherans are there? As many as half of our current congregation was

not raised in the ELCA - Our mission field is all people seeking Christ, not just Lutherans!

The Capital Projects Team has begun meeting to prioritize the project list and start the bidding process. Contact Pastor Trudy if
