Staffing announcements I am thrilled to formally announce that Lauren Forner has successfully applied for and been appointed to Barellan Central School as the substantive Head Teach-er Secondary Studies. She has started some outstanding work this year, and knowing that she is locked in to the position permanently will now give the school the sta-bility that it needs in the leadership team. As every school moves from one school year to another there are always staffing changes. It is with sadness that we inform the school community that Jeanette Gash, Denise McDermott and Georgina Wozniak will not be serving the Barellan School Community next year. I wish them the very best for their future. Whilst it is sad to say goodbye to staff, I’m also very pleased to announce that we will be welcoming Dan-ielle Ingram as the LaST (Learning and Support Teacher) and Careers Advisor. Danielle brings a wealth of experi-ence as a LaST from Yanco Agricultural High School, and is very excited about joining our team. I am also excited to announce that Toni Campbell will be joining us to teach a combined Visual Arts/Music program in stage 4. Toni’s experience in musical theatre and ballet will combine and she will create an exciting new integrated program for our students. Please join me in welcoming these new staff members to the school next year. School Spec I would like to extend my gratitude to Denise McDer-mott and the School Spec students for their hard work preparing for this incredible experience. We send our best wishes with the whole group for an outstanding week and look forward to hearing more as the week progresses. I would also like to extend our gratitude to
the community for supporting the students in making this happen, especially the families for giving your chil-dren an incredible opportunity and to the P&C for gen-erously contributing to reduce the expenses. Work experience We start this week with a quieter school as our year 9 and 10 students engage in work experience. We wish them the best as they change routines and become familiar with the expectations of a workplace. Please send through photos sharing your experience so we can celebrate with you. I would also like to thank Georgina Wozniak for all of her work facilitating the work experi-ence process. Have a lovely week, Paul Laing
In summary: Lauren Forner has successfully been appointed as the Head Teacher Secondary Studies through open
