In the mother’s womb

The mind remained attuned to God while the

5 elements of the body were formed

The mother’s womb is just like Maya. If we

made it out it means we can make it out of

Maya.

Gyan and Karma Indires

These act as appendages for the mind.

During simran we must

learn to leave all of the

indires behind. If we

leave them behind we

will not have thoughts.

These indires help us

experience Maya. We

need to Break free from

Maya and learn to stop

these indires.

Indires

Gyan indires are the 5

Senses

-Smell, Sight, Touch,

Hearing, Taste

Karam indires the

faculties we use to do work in

the world and create Karma.

Hands, Legs, Mouth, Eyes

and ears

There are nine gates to the one city of the body; restrain your mind from escaping through them.

To meet God we must close all 9 openings and then the 10th will open.

Why it matters…

Imbalance of Pavan keeps you in thoughts.

-Rajo- Ida, Left side – moon side

-Tamo- Pingla, Right side –sun side

-Sukhmana- follows along the spine but also the flesh between our eyes and nose.

When balanced we have control to take Satogun thoughts and its easier to keep the mind clean.

-Gurumukh has complete control of his mind and can account for every breath he spends.

Page 16: Week 2 - Merging the mind in to the Pavan

When doing Simran

• Make sure when you do simran there is always a small pause other wise the breath will never balance out.

• MAKE SURE TO PAUSE!

Page 17: Week 2 - Merging the mind in to the Pavan

Why stop our thoughts

• It’s the only way to meet God.

• At then end our life we have to give a Lakha

• A Lakha is an account of where we spent our breaths or swas (pavan).

• Our Breath is our capital when we come to Maya and if we want to break the cycle of life and death we must account for how it is spent.

Path of Love If you Love God and want to know who you are- than walk the path of Liv.

If you Love Maya than take the path of Dhat. ਰਲਿ ਧਾਤੁ ਦੁਇ ਿਾਹ ਹੈ ਹੁਕਮੀ ਕਾਿ ਕਮਾਇ ॥ God's love (Liv)and Love for Maya (Dhat) are the two ways, and the way

you walk depends on your actions.

We get some help

• Most of us don’t keep track of how we spend

our breath so God has a back up plan.

– Dhram Raj- is he accountant for the mind and

presents to God how you spent your breath.

– He get records from ChitrGupt who record your

actions and thoughts.

You cant cheat these guys because they are in

you. They know Kall will send the 5 duths to

distract you but you have to do simran.
