Principal’s Report We are all set to go for our school working bee in the garden this Saturday. We have lots of jobs that need doing, so please come along and help our school community if you can. The children are excited about seeing the changes to their playground next week. I’m pleased to announce that Miss Lauren Williams will be the relieving Assistant Principal in term 2, replacing Mrs Flakelar, who will be on long service leave. Mrs Flakelar will be replaced by Mrs Robyn Walker on 4/5 Green (Dust Storm). We hope Mrs Flakelar has a relaxing break, which is well deserved. Teachers have been busy writing interim reports for all students and these will be sent home on Monday, 9th April. Interviews will take place if requested by the teacher or parent/carer. Most students have really applied themselves well to learning tasks this term and are to be congratulated on their achievements and efforts. The school term ends next Friday, 13th April and students return to school for term 2 on Tuesday, 1st May. Please remember that ANZAC DAY falls in the holidays this year. More information about the service will be included in next week’s newsletter and on Schoolstream and Facebook. Regards, Mrs Reardon

Temora Public School - A world of opportunities ~ inspiring success
Term 1 Week 10—4th April, 2018
There was a buzz of excitement in the air last Thursday when the tree removalists went to work. They brought with them a huge crane which lowered the arborist into the large ironbark at the rear of the school. The students watched as he flew through the air in a harness, connected to the crane and commenced chopping the branches. Each branch was shredded into fine bark mulch which will be used in the school gardens. Although it’s sad to see such old trees being removed, the risk to students and staff meant they had to go. The remaining ironbark at the front of the school will be removed during the school holidays. Congratulations to the students for their safe and sensible behaviour during the day.
What a spectacle!
