We all know that the most important thing for all brides is that we lookgood on our big day. Each issue we will look at various beauty tips, which are all tried and tested and we will review the best and worstproducts on the market to take the guesswork out of it for you. A

question and answer section will answer all your niggling questions andDIY beauty tips for you budget savvy brides, we also have a grooms

grooming section brimming full of tips and answers to all your male relatedbeauty questions.

I am a qualified beauty therapist and nail technician so you can rest assured the answersand tips you get are all safe to try.

Let’s look at some of the top face products on the market which will get your skin glowing before yourbig day. Remember it’s best to start your beauty regime at least 6 months prior to your big day.

Make sure that at least up until your wedding day you don’t go to bed wearing make up, let your skinbreath at night. Use some cleansing wipes or if you prefer a good cleansing lotion with toner. Irecommend either Soap & Glory’s “Off Your Face” wipes which are my personal favourite for £4.50 orSanctuary Fresh Faced Purifying Wash £9.00.

Follow the cleansing with a good toner, I recommend Boots Glycerine and Rosewater £2.32 orSimple Kind To Skin Facial Toner for £2.99

A good moisturiser is essential after the cleansing and toning, everyone’s skin is differentand it’s not a one size fits all, but these are my recommendations.

Olay Essentials Complete Night Cream £9.99, is perfect for dry, normal and oily skintypes. Use this just before bed, in the morning cleanse your skin and apply Olay BeautyFluid £4.99 which is perfect to use under your daily foundation.

Page 7: Wedding Find It Buy It Magazine *Autumn Issue 2014*

If you are not a fan of Olay or you want to blow the budget I can’t recommend enough Lancome’sHydra Zen Night Cream for all skin types £41.00, it really is a fantastic moisturiser.

Q: Emily asked: I'd like to wear red lipstick on the day of my Wedding. Can you give me any tips orsuggestions of what products are long lasting and non smudging please. Thanks in Advance.

A: I would recommend MAC's pro longwear lipcolour in Lasting Lust red colour. Be sure to prepyour lips first with a lipliner pre application to stop the colour feathering.

Many grooms want their skin to look good and glowing on their wedding day and central heating cancause terribly dry skin. Men you need a good facial exfoliator to start with. Try Clarin’s Skin Suppliesfor Men Face Scrub, £18.00 from Boots, use daily before shaving.

Follow up with your shave and then use an intensive moisturiser such as Nivea for Men IntensiveMoisturising Crème £6.40 from Boots.

Craig and I first got together in September 2011: He had been my postman for two yearsbefore we started dating. I rented a house on the estate where he delivered his mail. I livedwith my three children Anna, Olivia and Joe. We started chatting one day and after 2 weeksI grabbed the bull by the horns and ave him my business card and told him to call me ifhe fancied taking my out. He messaged me that afternoon and we went on our first datetwo days later, the rest is history as they say! We moved in together after a few monthsand settled into family life. Craig didn’t have any children so taking on my 3 as his ownwas a big ask. He adapted better than I thought and they get on amazingly

How did you meet?

Craig proposed to me completely out of the blue. I arrived home after a13 hours shift In A&E where I work to the whole dining room laid outwith rose petals, flowers, champagne, a card, balloons and the fact Ididn’t expect it made me even more surprised. He then took me to hisFootball presentation that evening!

Tell us about the proposal

Page 13: Wedding Find It Buy It Magazine *Autumn Issue 2014*

What is your engagement ring like?

My engagement ring is a single round diamond in a beautiful simple setting butMy wedding ring is very blingy with a carat of diamonds…..lucky girl I know

When did you get married?

We got married on Sat 12th October 2013 at 3.30 at Bolsover castle in the StarChamber and had our reception at The John Fretwell Centre

What type of wedding was it?

Our wedding was amazing and everything we wanted it to be….relaxed,Informal, fun (bucking bronco included) and very family and friendsoriented

Tell us about planning your wedding

Having a wedding & event décor business (as well as working andhaving 4 children ), the décor was a huge part of our day. I decided

to sacrifice the sit down meal to have canapés, wine and cheesetables. I didn’t want the formality or expense of a meal

Did you have a theme and what colour scheme did you have?

I knew exactly the locations I wanted and the theme was vintage at the castle withmainly ivory and cream décor. We then had completely the opposite at the receptiongoing for hot pink and navy blue décor. Bridesmaids were blue, flowers were hot pink, accessories were hot pink. , Chair sashes were alternate colours. I wanted a completecontrast and also to match the venues we had chosen. I planned the wedding down toa T……including all the guests transport to and from the venues via a London Routemaster bus…..the cake was amazing…I had 2 cakes, one for him and one for me.

Page 14: Wedding Find It Buy It Magazine *Autumn Issue 2014*

We had 3 big bridesmaids, 2 flower girls & 1 page boy.We also had a best man and 3 ushers.

Everyone wants it to be full sunshine on their day. It rained on our wedding day but itdidn’t matter to me, we had some gorgeous umbrellas. We have fantastic photos. We also have exclusive pictures inside the castle that no one ever sees, so make the mostof what you’re dealt.

Tell us about your wedding day

How many bridesmaids/pageboys?

We went to Mexico on our honeymoon which was beautifulperfect relaxation and time to come down from the mostfantastic wedding day.

Is there anything you would do differentlyor you would change if you could do it again?

Are you having a honeymoon?

The advice I would give is to enjoy the build up,don’t get stressed over the little things.

Don’t let people take over, its your day enjoyit because it goes far too quick x

What advice would you give other brides?

Our wedding day was one of the best days of our lives. I loved every minute and want todo it again. Craig and I had overcome a lot in our first year having lost a baby quite

late on, so to have our 10 week old baby at our wedding was amazing. All our friendsand family came together to celebrate, all 250 of us. The dance floor was full all night, the chocolate fountain, sweetie cart and bucking bronco were a massive hit

If you buy new shoes wear them around thehouse for an hour each day for the week leadingup the wedding to wear them in without scuffingthem. You don’t want blisters on your weddingday.

Be selfish, the day is yourwife’s and yours so have itas you want, not to keeppeople happy. If you don’twant the traditional toptable don’t have it!

If you have a prank thatyou think will liven upany wedding party, avoidit just AVOID!! It’salways a recipe for disaster

Be prepared to be really tired and wemean REALLY tired after yourwedding. That usually means thenight of passion you have beenplanning for months will probablynot be the wedding night of hotpassion but the first day of honeymoon

Whatever you deciderehearse it and thenrehearse it again andagain, until you are sofed up of it, that’s aboutright and will ensureyour day goes as smoothlyas possible.

Page 27: Wedding Find It Buy It Magazine *Autumn Issue 2014*

It’s no secret that before your big day you really should be taking an activepart in your “beauty” regime. Your wedding pictures will last a lifetime andyou don’t want them ruined with bitten chewed up nails, acne breakout orshaving rash. Make sure you start at least 6 months before the big day, miraclesjust don’t happen unfortunately and it does take some effort. The way we see itis your wife is making the effort to look amazing for you, it’s only fair you dothe same in return.

This issue we focus on dry flaking skin, which lets face it won’t look prettyon your wedding photos when your suit looks like its been through a snowStorm!!

Start by getting a good exfoliater such as Shiseido Men Deep Cleansing Scruband do this once or twice a week and make sure you moisturise thoroughlyafter a scrub. Next up you need to invest in a good facial moisturiser andmoisturise twice a day, morning and evening. L'Oreal Men Expert HydraEnergetic Daily Intensive Moisturiser works well for an off the shelf brand.Make sure you invest in an under eye cream as well such as Lab Series DailyMoisture Defense Eye Balm . You might be thinking that you don’t need somany different products, you really do. You shouldn’t use a standardmoisturiser under your eye area, it should always be a specially formulated creamas the area under our eyes is so sensitive. I promise you that 6 months offollowing this regime your skin will look and feel much better and definitelywon’t feel so tight or look so flaky.

Q.If a close friend friend booked their wedding a couple of weeks before yours, when yours is already booked. Their hen do is a week after yours and they

have a couple of same bridesmaids, would you get upset? I am. I just want toknow if other people feel the same

Reader replies….Gemma says: I think it could probably cause arguments, yes! I’d be

annoyed. If yours was booked first why couldn’t she wait until after! X

Bobbie says: I think your friend seems very insecure and obviously has tofollow others rather than make their own mind up. Yes very annoying but

your wedding is your day and that’s all that matters

Page 29: Wedding Find It Buy It Magazine *Autumn Issue 2014*

Genevieve says: Wouldn’t bother me as long as nothing was on thesame day as mine!! Maybe it’s a date that’s always meant something

to them X

This is a difficult situation you feel like she is trying to take thelimelight from your wedding and your ideas. She is your friend for areason maybe you are alike and share the same interests so you aregoing to have the same ideas. What you must remember is that it isyours and your future hubbies wedding day, a special day for youboth to remember and enjoy. Embrace the fact that you and your friendare getting married a few weeks apart and be there for each other. Ifyou are worried about her using your ideas then don’t tell her, just sayit’s all a surprise

Natalie says: Yes hun you have the right to be upset, and so would I. Butplease try not to let it upset you, it seems to me she is not the close friend

you thought she was. In future, any ideas you have about your weddingkeep to yourself or talk to someone totally out of the picture, then she

can’t do similar to you.

For a simple elegant card cut out a heart from coloured card with a punch. Glue intoposition.

Another idea is you can add ribbon around the top of the card. Carefully glue theribbon into position all the way along and around the back of your card with the

cocktail stick.

To make a glitter card draw your idea on the card with glue using the cocktail stick, sprinkle with glitter and shake off.

Dear Diary,So….excited doesn’t even cover what I am feeling right now! Beingnewly engaged is such a wonderful thing. Everyone being so happyabout your news, being able to picture the day I have always wanted& never being bored of the question “how did he propose”?Well let me tell you….myself & Sam met on “Plenty of Fish” the datingwebsite. Both of us really didn’t want to be part of the online datingworld but the lovely friends we have had other ideas! After a coupleof coffee dates, a walk along the beach, a huge bag of candy floss sharedon the pier, we became a couple. And a year on at the same beachThe proposal happened. Let me tell you one thing first…..Sam is nota massive fan of the beach…more so the sand. So after a lovely dinnerit was odd for Sam to suggest a walk on said sand! We are very luckyto live so close to the beach, waking distance in fact, so we strolledhand in hand in the sunshine. When Sam suggested we go on the sandfor a paddle I was surprised. I told Sam “ it’s ok, we don’t need togo on the sand” to which he INSISTED quite forcibly that we did.We kicked off our flip flops, looked for pretty shells and even had apaddle! Wonderful!! In the distance there appeared to be a sandcastleclearly left by a family who had frequented the beach that day andconveniently placed there just for Sam!Sam told me that we could get married in a castle like that one day andthe ring appeared. And it is just beautiful! The boy did a fabulous jobin choosing me the perfect diamond along with some gorgeous red roses. So now the planning starts- the day that I have always dreamt of awaits.a scrapbook has been purchased, Pinterest pages are being updated daily& my world is full of planning & the wonderful day we are going to have.I shall keep you updated as the planning now starts.

Lots of LoveSoon to be Mrs Jones! <3
