Meet Dylan! Dylan is our SUPER STUDENT OF THE WEEK! Commit to Excellence NO HOMEWORK THIS WEEK Reading/Language In reading we’re taking a look at stories about dads. We are learning about listening to key details in text. We are looking carefully at the pictures and listening to the text to be able to answer questions about what we are reading. In language we are continuing to blend words. We are just working with “cvc” words (consonant-vowel- consonant, like cat, mop, jug). This is something we will be working on for awhile, so keep practicing at home. You can practice this at home by saying three sounds in a word and having your child guess the word. Ex: say /b/ /a/ /t/ and see if your child can guess “bat”. Please work on the letter names/sounds that your child has not Kindergarten Kids 1 Important Dates November 11 th -No School Veteran’s Day November 18 th -Field Trip to The Festival of Trees November 21 st -Report Cards Go Home At Home When you read at home, ask questions about the key details in the text.
