Your Reading LOGYour Reading Log is to help you and your English teacher to keep track of what you are reading.  What is Power Readers? The Power Reader program is a way of encouraging you to read regularly.  There are four levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. How do I complete each award? To complete each level you need to: ¨ Keep a reading diary ¨ Read an agreed number of books for each level

¨ Complete work from your reading booklet for each level ¨ Be awarded a certificate when you complete each level  Every book you read (fiction, non-fiction or graphic novel) goes towards your class total. The English class who reads the most books in the year are given a party to celebrate near the end of the summer term. What do I do when I complete an award? Bring your reading booklet to Miss Guthrie where you will receive a certificate. What happens when I finish the Silver Award? Once you have finished the Silver award you can ask your English teacher for the Gold Award booklet!  You can continue to use your Reading Diary to record the books you read. This will help your English teacher monitor your progress and will put you in contention for becoming Reader of the Year.
