My plan for fulfilling my Duties towards the Imam of My Time, Imam Mahdi (ajtf)

Active intezaar (awaiting) is obligatory upon every follower of Imam Mahdi (ajtf). We must pay great attention to how and what we prepare for the reappearance as this will contribute greatly towards us being

counted as companion of Imam (ajtf) whether we live to see his reappearance or not. The first step is towards this is to know the Imam

(ajtf)

We must also remember that He is our Living Imam (ajtf) and nothing of our news is hidden from Him. We must strive to be pious and of the

best morals and akhlaq!

Know your Imam and have deep knowledge of him and whether the advent is brought near or delayed,

it will have no effect upon you or your faith" – Imam Sadiq (as) Bihar ul Anwar Vol 52

“…We are perfectly cognizant of all your affairs and problems and nothing regarding you is hidden from us” – Imam Mahdi (ajtf) The Life of Imam Mahdi - Baqir Sharif al-Qurashi

“A person who would like to be among the companions of al-Qāim should be in a state of (active) waiting (Intizar), and perform all of his deeds with Wara’ (a level higher than Taqwa) and with the most beautiful etiquette and then one will be counted as being in a state of (true) waiting (Intizar). Then if such a person was to die and al-Qāim was to make his advent after this, then that person would receive the reward as the one who witnessed his (al-Mahdi’s)

advent.”

In a humble effort to serve the Imam (ajtf), we have created a planner for everyone who wishes to reflect upon whether we have fulfilled our duties towards the Imam (ajtf) or not and what we need to do in order to fulfil those duties. This planner is a practical way to reflect upon our duties and to think of creative and innovative ways to fulfil

our obligations towards Imam (ajtf). We recommend that you discuss with your families, how we can fulfil each duty and to do it together which

will strengthen the family bond as well as the bond with Imam Mahdi (ajtf).

Place your hand on your head and stand when mentioning his name as a reminder and as a form of respectThere is a Hadith that the name of Imam Mahdi(ajtf) was mentioned in front of our 8th Imam, Imam Al-Ridha (a.s.). 3: Loving Him

On the night of ascention of Rasoolallah (saw). Allah swt allowed him to see his successors. When Rasolallah (saw) saw Imam al Mahdi (ajtf), Allah (swt) said,

“This is Qaim (a), He would make My halaal as halaal and My haraam as haraam. He shall take revenge from My enemies. O

number and in spite of having so many enemies, they are still discussing the Fadail of Aale Muhammad (a).’ The other group

of angels says:That is Allah’s grace; He grants it to whom He pleases, and Allah is the Lord of mighty

“You must care for his leadership, loyalty and attachment in a way that Allah, Prophet (s.a.) and the forefathers of Imam Mahdi (a) expect

from you. You must give preference of the needs of Imam (a) over your own needs when you are reciting the Namaz-e-Hajat (Prayer of

having your need fulfilled). Before giving Sadaqah on behalf of your family members, give Sadaqah on behalf of Imam Zamana (a)

and pray for him. In addition to this, give him preference in every good deed. All these things

53: To bear hardships, denials and other testing circumstances for the sake of Imam (a)

They asked: O Messenger of Allah (s), we accompanied you in Badr, Uhad and Hunain

and the Quran descended among us! The Prophet said:

You cannot bear that which would descend on them and you don’t have as much patience as

“One who desires to be included among the companions of Imam Zamana (a) must

even if he dies before the reappearance of Imam (a) he would get the same reward as

if he had been with the Imam (a). Strive and await! If you want to be bestowed

of their covenant (regarding us) our meeting them would not have delayed, and they would have soon met us with true and

Look after what we say is of paramount importance. Our character is hidden behind our tongue. Reflect on who you are imitating. If it is not that of the Imam (ajtf), then we should adopt a habit of silence and not be involved in vain talks, slandering or backbiting. We should always be reciting the zikr of Allah (swt) when we can to remind ourselves that He (swt), The Holy Prophet (saw) and the Imam (ajtf) are always aware of our deeds.

If Imam (ajtf) was to be made apparent right now, would he be pleased with the state of our lives? Would he make us his companion?

“O you who believe! be patient and excel in patience and remain steadfast, and be careful of (your duty to) Allah, that you

may be successful.”Be patient on fulfilment of obligatory duties; and be steadfast against your

enemies and do Marabata for the awaited Imam. 55

Our lives should be in such a state that Imam (ajtf) is always pleased with us as this also means that Allah (swt) is pleased with us.
