The new plastic bag for plastic / recycling

1 The new bag, the plastic+It is a bag were you can put: plastic, cans and for example a carton of milk. It is called the ’Plastic+’. It is sponsored / designed by the company Dar. Dar, a Dutch company which is specialized in garbage management. Which means they are doing thing like collect garbage on the streets and also other things which has to do with making a better and cleaner world. They invented it because of the to big amount of garbage in the region of Nijmegen. With the plastic+ it would encourage the regions to separate the garbage.

The garbage which is in the plastic+ bag will be recycled and will be used for making for example: To make tennis balls and fleece sweaters. This is one of the companies which are doing such a service for the community.

2 The Plastic heroes The second garbagebag is only for things which are

made from plastic, for example: foils, candy packaging, shampoo bottles, drink bottles, plastic bags etc. It is designed / sponsored by the company ’Plastic heroes’ , a Dutch company which is for helping to make a better cleaner city where you live. For more information www.plasticheroes.nl

3 Recycling

Recycling is processing used materials (waste) into new, useful products. This is done to reduce the use of raw materials that would have been used. Recycling also uses less energy and and great way of controlling air, water and land pollution. 

Effective recycling starts with household (or the place where the waste was created). Households then sort out the waste themselves and place them in the right bags

for collection. This makes the work less difficult. 

In the picture on the left shows you how you can separate all kind of things. So you don’t put it all in the same bag, you divide them in parts. This we do for recycling because it helps protecting the environment. This is because the recyclable waste materials have been ended up in the landfill.  Than there would be a lot of pollution in the air, land, water and soil is reduced. Recycling also saves energy,  because it takes more energy to make items with raw materials, materials that al ready exists,  than from recycling used materials.
