What is We-KIT

We-KIT is a unit of NRECT and in line with the vision of the Trust has been set up to provide value-based mentoring to Youth in order to develop them into professionals having integrity and sound business values while guiding them to find their vocation or life’s purpose.

Napoleon Roberts Educational and Charitable Trust (NRECT) is a secular charitable Trust that was registered on May 9th 2011. The Trust has been started by Ms Yvonne Roberts in the memory of her father, Late Mr Napoleon Roberts (1938 – 2010) who was a mentor to many youth in his life.

The mission of NRECT is the propagation and dissemination of education with the object of achieving the development of children, students and youth to increase awareness through education and training on life and career skills, social responsibility and sustainability.

holistic development platform in order to connect youth to Executives and

Mentors in their field of interest by using available professional networks and

wisdom and experience of well-established professionals of proven integrity.

Mentoring is the process by which a Mentor nurtures a person to reach their highest potential; it includes listening without judgment, suggesting alternatives, offering feedback and teaching

Our LogoWe-KIT represents life’s focus just like a wicket is every bowler’s focus. It also represents the Wicket which is the small gate that is hard to find and get through.

Often, reaching one’s purpose means going against the tide, pursuing new avenues and having a certain dogged determination to achieve a dream. We-KIT supports this agenda in a very smart way using a systematic and technology driven process.

We-KIT has been conceptualized and founded in Bangalore, and hopes to become a model for similar volunteer engagements across the world. It seeks to be an extremely dynamic youth organization that is constantly innovating and forward-looking using new technology and resources in order to guide and mentor youth in various key areas like Life and Career skills, Integrity, Social Responsibility, Green, etc.

South Africa, Brazil and Peru are good for potential expansion – Growth markets with youth requiring direction and colleagues who share vision

Mentoring Works!!!

Mentoring works. We know this intuitively. We know this through research and through measured outcomes. And we also know that mentoring works best when members of the community come together to invest in the future of their youth.

Adults want to be mentors. 57 million adults would consider becoming mentors if they had access to an array of support services and had the ability within their schedules to commit. (MENTOR Mentoring Poll)

We-KIT aims to provide that support if you would share a part of your life to change a life.

Benefits of being a We-KIT Mentor:

We-KIT Standard for Mentoring (Global Recognition) Worldwide Professional Networking Visibility and Recognition Self / Leadership Enhancement Discover & nurture talent Mentor an idea / an activity (look for VC) Create a We-KIT Legacy

Be a Mentor ! Change a Life!!!

By definition a mĕn’ – tŏr is a wise and trusted counselor or teacher

Dr. Jean Rhodes of the University of Massachusetts in her book, Stand by Me: The Risks and Rewards of Mentoring Today's Youth, concludes that mentors influence young people in three important ways, by

(1) enhancing social skills and emotional well-being,

(2) improving cognitive skills through dialogue and listening, and

(3) serving as a role model and advocate.Recruitment and Preparation of
