Summary This tech note explains areas to check if you are getting FTP errors when using Wyse Device Manager (WDM) Audience Customers, 1st / 2nd Level Support, and Systems Engineering Group. Affected Products Wyse Device Manager and Rapport Requirements/Issues If you are getting FTP errors with Wyse Device Manager, perform the steps outlined in the article Procedure/Solution 1. Delete all scheduled packages from the Wyse Device Manager console. Update Manager -> Scheduled Packages -> right click on any packages -> Delete 2. Verify the information is correct in for the Software Repository in the Wyse Device Manager console Configuration Manager -> Software Repositories -> right click on Master (in right pane) -> Properties Location: should be IP address (not the server name) of the FTP server WDM is using. Relative Path: /rapport User Name: rapport Password: <the password is r@p8p0r+ (note this is a Zero and a Plus)> 3. Verify the rapport user is correct On the Desktop of the WDM server -> right click on My Computer -> Manage -> Local Users and Groups -> Users -> right click on “rapport” -> Properties Verify “Password Never Expires” is checked 4. Verify the Default FTP Site settings in the IIS Manager are correct On the Wyse Device Manager server, Control Panel -> Administrative Tools – IIS Manager – expand the local computer -> select Default FTP sites -> Properties

Make certain the IP address is the Current IP address of the FTP server or set for All Unassigned

5. Verify the Rapport HTTP server settings in the IIS Manager are correct On the Wyse Device Manager server, Control Panel -> Administrative Tools – IIS Manager – expand the local computer -> select Rapport HTTP Server-> Properties
