Using Automatic Definition of Neighbouring Cells
This feature is used with the help of the NetAct optimiser optional feature (automatic adjacency optimisation). In the optimiser, there is a special work space, from which the user is able to launch the automatic definition of neighbouring cells. The UI enables the user to set all the needed parameters for completing the task.. The optimiser uses the new RAN handover statistics (intra-frequency (1013 Autodef SHO), inter-frequency (1014 Autodef IFHO), inter-system (1015 Autodef ISHO) handover statistics) collected by the RAN, in order to measure the performance for adjacencies in the optimisation scope. On the RAN side this feature operates like any other feature in the RAN. Needed RAN performance measurements operate similarly as other RAN performance measurements. These are managed by using the RNC Element Manager GUI application in RAN05.1 or the NetAct Administration of Measurements application.
