Great Work! This week I had some students visit to show me their work. Isabella, Beau, Nykai and Sophie from KF read me their cats and dogs stories and Lucia and Luke from 3/4L shared their informative texts. Sarsha, Grace, Billy and Jake from KH read me their stories and Scout from 3/4C shared her great writing. Well done to Lucas 1/2H for reading 100 nights and congratulations to Kiara and Ayaan 1B, Jayda 1M, Lucas 2/3T, Malia 2C, Phoebe 1/2H, Amelia 3/4M and Lucas 3/4H for reading 200 nights. A special congratulations to Liam M. KH, Samantha 5/6D, Phoebe and Lyra 3/4C, Jonathan 1B, Penny and Ayla 1/2H, Elizabeth 5/6A, Alex 2J, Eli 4/5T, Liam 2C, James 2/3T and Stephanie 5/6B for reading an amazing 300 nights. Stage 3 Exhibition of Learning Our Stage 3 students presented their exhibition of learning about Australian history last Friday. Their presentations were very creative and demonstrated their knowledge. Thank you to the parents who were able to attend and thank you to the Stage 3 teachers for their help. Year 6 Farewell The Year 6 Farewell will be held on Thursday 12 December at the Ourimbah RSL. The evening will commence with a presentation in the school hall at 4:30pm, followed by dinner and dancing at the RSL. We are looking forward to this exciting event! Thank you to Mrs Rutherford, Miss Tout, Mr Hartshorn, Miss Searle, Mrs Atkinson and Mr Dawkins and our parents for their organisation of the Year 6 Farewell and gift to the school.

Stage 3 Exhibition of Learning

Presentation Day Our students will be recognised for their academic and sporting achievements at our school Presentation Day on Wednesday 11 December, starting with the Years 3-6 Presentation at 9:15am in the school hall. This will be followed by the K-2 Presentation at 11:45am. Parents will be invited to attend the ceremonies to celebrate their children’s achievements. Thank you to Mrs Pattison and Mrs Shepherd for organising this special event. Staff Development Days Throughout the year, staff have engaged in extended teacher professional learning (TPL) sessions. These sessions were conducted after school from 3:15pm to 6:15pm. Staff agreed that it is far more productive undertaking additional TPL throughout the year than at the end of Term 4. This will mean that staff will not be required to attend the School Development Days at the end of the year scheduled for Thursday 19 December and Friday 20 December. This will not impact on students, as the last day of school for students is Wednesday 18 December. It is a requirement that schools undertaking this process, communicate it with their school community. Staffing Update Congratulations to Mrs Tania Dever on her transfer to Gorokan High School. Mrs Dever has been with us for five years and started our first support class on their educational journey. Mrs Dever will start in the support unit at Gorokan High at the beginning of 2020 and we anticipate we will have a new staff member transfer in to Niagara park over the holidays.

We thank Mrs Dever for her contributions to our school and wish her all the best with her new job. Share our Space It is now Department of Education policy to allow general public access to quality spaces during holiday periods. Share Our Space is designed to support the Premier's objective of opening high-quality outdoor space to communities across NSW. Share Our Space allows schools to make their facilities available to the community during school holidays.

Our school facilities will be open from 8:00am to 5:00pm, 7 days a week from 23 December 2019 to 24 January, 2020. Parents are expected to provide appropriate supervision for their child or children while on site. Signage will be placed at the nominated entrance gate to notify non-permitted activities and emergency contact details. Patrolling security guards will open the gates in the morning and close them at night.
