Plastic Bag Round Up! Did you know that last year, Manitoba students diverted 1,347,000 plastic bags from the landfill? In 2015, over 37,000 students from 168 schools across Manitoba worked together to make this happen! This year, Waverly Park will again be taking part in this project. Starting October 1st, we ask that you bring your collection of plastic bags to school to be dropped off in the front foyer. Last year, Waverly Park collected just over 10,000 bags, our goal this year is to collect even more. All participating schools will receive garden boxes made from recycled plastic bags! Help us to keep this hazardous material out of the landfills. Mrs. Taggart and the WP Student Leadership Team
Waverly Park School participated in the event with students,
staff, and parents. Waverly Park School raised $800.00
for cancer research. We would like to extend a sincere
Thank-You to all those who supported this event.
