As part of this event, Gaysorn Tower and 49HUB provided access to those interested in the subject, visit the projects. At each site, the design team was invited to lecture and share their intimate knowledge with the audience ensuring a basis of ongoing development to set quality standards for Thailand’s architectural scene. 1 st -9 th February 2020 Bangkok Design Week 2020 เทศกาลงานออกแบบ กรุงเทพฯ จัดโดย ศูนย์สร้างสรรค์งานออกแบบ ได้จัดขึ้น เป็นปีที่ 3 แล้ว สําหรับปีนี้ได้จัดขึ้นภายใต้แนวคิด “Resilience: New potential for living ปรับตัว อยู่รอด เติบโต” เพื่อเป็นพื้นที่สําหรับกลุ ่มนักสร้างสรรค์ทั ้งองค์กร ภาครัฐและเอกชนที่มาร่วมกันนําเสนอวิสัยทัศน์และผลงาน เพื่อกระตุ ้นให้เกิดแนวความคิดสร้างสรรค์ โดยในปีนี้ สถาปนิก 49 ร่วมกับ bit.studio, moreloop และ Rightman ได้ออกแบบสร้างสรรค์ "LAUGH ALIVE PAVILION" บริเวณหน้าทางเข้า TCDC กรุงเทพฯ อาคารไปรษณีย์กลาง บางรัก ตั้งแต่วันที่ 1-9 กุมภาพันธ์ 2563 ที ่ผ่านมา พาวิลเลียน แห่งนี้เป็นจุดบริการที่ให้ข้อมูลแก่ผู้เข้าชมในงานเทศกาล งานออกแบบกรุงเทพฯ Bangkok Design Week 2020 และเป็นมากกว่าจุดบริการข้อมูลทั ่วไปเป็นส่วนช่วยเติมเต็ม ความสุขและความมีชีวิตชีวา พาวิลเลียนนี้ยังเปิดโอกาสให้ผู้เข้าเยี่ยมชมงานได้รับ ประสบการณ์ข้อมูลไปพร้อมกับความสนุกสนานกับ กิจกรรมที่อยู ่ในพาวิลเลียน ทุกคนจะได้มีส่วนร่วมในการ สร้างเสียงหัวเราะ ผ่านสื่อ Interactive ซึ่งแลกกับข้อมูลที่ คุณต้องการ การออกแบบนั ้นคํานึงถึงถึงการเลือกใช้วัสดุ ที่สามารถนํากลับมาใช้ซ�าได้เพื่อลดปริมาณขยะ เมื่อจบ งาน ผืนผ้า shading ที่ประกอบขึ้นมาจาก module จํานวน 208 ผืน จะเปลี่ยนเป็นกระเป๋าผืนผ้าวงกลม ตัดเย็บ โดย moreloop ทําเป็นกระเป๋าขนาด 25 x 25 ซม. ที่เกิด จากการใช้ผ้าส่วนเกินในระบบอุตสาหกรรม การกลัด กระดุมตรงกลาง และดึงรูดสายกระเป๋าทั้งสองข้างขึ้น ผืนผ้าวงกลมจะกลายเป็นกระเป๋าทรงกลมทันทีโดยกระเป๋า แต่ละใบนั้นสามารถลดการปลดปล่อย Co2 0.55 kg. หรือ เทียบเท่ากับระยะทางขับรถ 4.63 km. (TCDC กรุงเทพฯ - วัดพระแก้ว) รวมไปถึงเฟอร์นิเจอร์ที่ตั้งอยู ่บริเวณของ info center, info kiosk และ meeting point มาจากห่วงยาง ให้เช่าจากบางแสน เพิ ่มความสบายเมื่อใช้งาน และหลังจาก จบงานเทศกาล เฟอร์นิเจอร์จากห่วงยางทั ้งหมดจะส่งคืน กลับไปที่ชายหาดบางแสนเช่นเดิม บรรยากาศความสุข ตลอด 4 วันที่ผ่านมา เต็มไปด้วยรอยยิ ้มและเสียงหัวเราะ ภายใต้ร่มเงาของ Laugh Alive Pavilion ในเทศกาล Bangkok Design Week 2020 ได้ทําหน้าที่เป็น Info Center และจุดพักคอย จากแนวคิดการออกแบบและการ เลือกใช้วัสดุที่สามารถนํามาใช้ซ�าได้ ทําให้ Pavilion นี้จะ ไม่เหลือขยะใดๆ ทิ ้งไว้ และในวันนั ้นเองผู้โชคดียังจะได้รับ “ลูกโป่งแห่งความสุข” กลับไปอีกด้วย BANGKOK DESIGN WEEK 2020 As part of Bangkok Design Week 2020, hosted by Thailand Creative and Design Center (TCDC), A49 collaborated with Bit.Studio, Moreloop, and Rightman created design for the “LAUGH ALIVE PAVILION” at the entrance of TCDC Bangkok, Central Post Office, Bangrak. The event, hosted for the third time is organized under the theme of Resilience: New potential for living. “LAUGH ALIVE PAVILION” is the information service hub for visitors of the event. Apart from interactive media designed to provide stimulating user experiences, the design of the area itself places emphasis on material recycling that aims to reduce waste. These provisions included 208 of shading fabric pieces constructed from modular materials that would later be converted into circular-shaped bags. The furniture including the info kiosk and meeting point were made from rental swimming rings from Bang Saen Beach. This led to the desired result of zero waste after the event ended. The topics of the conference focused and emphasized CE operations of the CECI group, and importantly, waste management in construction works. Located next to the Chulalongkorn University Centenary Park, and in the heart of an important water catchment area for Bangkok, the design aimed to provide a continuous green living oasis in the midst of the concrete jungle. The landscaping was designed to support local biodiversity and enable residents and the community to carry out daily activities unhindered by the monsoon season. Buildings are laid out as interconnected “villages,” and they include adaptive learning spaces, creating a new benchmark for urban eco living. To emphasize the gallery’s natural context and to combine art and science with nature, the project consists of three main ideas: the first is to highlight the “nature landmark” by accentuating the distinct natural landscape; the second is to incorporate “art in nature” by merging nature into every exhibition space and creating new moods and tones for viewing art exhibitions; and the third is to arrange a comfortable “orientation” for the building by thinking of its seasonal weather conditions. This building will also house the Environmental Office and the Chulalongkorn University Faculty of Medicine’s Maintenance Department. The owner’s intent was to create an exemplary, efficient waste management facility which improves the quality of life of those using the facility, is aesthetically modern, eco-friendly and energy efficient, without negative impact to the surrounding natural and built environment. From these requirements, a design concept was created with the aim to promote understanding among the general public, as a model of hospital waste management which places importance on waste sorting and managing green space around the facility. The resulting design is a structure which expresses transparency, making people aware of waste and enabling those on the outside to observe the workings of an efficient waste management system. Hosted by ARCHiTRACKER, Bangkok Bound 2019 features more than twenty five selected architectural projects from around Bangkok, all of which were designed by Thai architects. As part of this event, Gaysorn Tower and 49HUB provided access to those interested in the subject, visit the projects.At each site, the design team was invited to lecture and share their intimate knowledge with the audience ensuring a basis of ongoing development to set quality standards for Thailand’s architectural scene.

Bangkok Design Week 2020 เทศกาลงานออกแบบกรงเทพฯ จดโดย ศนยสรางสรรคงานออกแบบ ไดจดขนเปนปท 3 แลว สาหรบปนไดจดขนภายใตแนวคด “Resilience: New potential for living ปรบตว อยรอด เตบโต” เพอเปนพนทสาหรบกลมนกสรางสรรคทงองคกรภาครฐและเอกชน ทมารวมกนนาเสนอวสยทศนและผลงานเพอกระตนใหเกดแนวความคดสรางสรรค โดยในปนสถาปนก 49 รวมกบ bit.studio, moreloop และ Rightman ไดออกแบบสรางสรรค "LAUGH ALIVE PAVILION"บรเวณหนาทางเขา TCDC กรงเทพฯ อาคารไปรษณยกลาง บางรก ตงแตวนท 1-9 กมภาพนธ 2563 ทผานมา พาวลเลยน แหงนเปนจดบรการทใหขอมลแกผเขาชมในงานเทศกาลงานออกแบบกรงเทพฯ Bangkok Design Week 2020 และเปนมากกวาจดบรการขอมลทวไป เปนสวนชวยเตมเตมความสขและความมชวตชวา
พาวลเลยนนยงเปดโอกาสใหผเขาเยยมชมงานไดรบประสบการณขอมลไปพรอมกบความสนกสนานกบกจกรรมทอยในพาวลเลยน ทกคนจะไดมสวนรวมในการสรางเสยงหวเราะ ผานสอ Interactive ซงแลกกบขอมลทคณตองการ การออกแบบนนคานงถงถงการเลอกใชวสดทสามารถนากลบมาใชซ�าไดเพอลดปรมาณขยะ เมอจบงาน ผนผา shading ทประกอบขนมาจาก module จานวน 208 ผน จะเปลยนเปนกระเปาผนผาวงกลม ตดเยบโดย moreloop ทาเปนกระเปาขนาด 25 x 25 ซม. ทเกดจากการใชผาสวนเกนในระบบอตสาหกรรม การกลดกระดมตรงกลาง และดงรดสายกระเปาทงสองขางขนผนผาวงกลมจะกลายเปนกระเปาทรงกลมทนท โดยกระเปาแตละใบนนสามารถลดการปลดปลอย Co2 0.55 kg. หรอเทยบเทากบระยะทางขบรถ 4.63 km. (TCDC กรงเทพฯ - วดพระแกว) รวมไปถงเฟอรนเจอรทตงอยบรเวณของ info center, info kiosk และ meeting point มาจากหวงยางใหเชาจากบางแสน เพมความสบายเมอใชงาน และหลงจากจบงานเทศกาล เฟอรนเจอรจากหวงยางทงหมดจะสงคนกลบไปทชายหาดบางแสนเชนเดม บรรยากาศความสขตลอด 4 วนทผานมา เตมไปดวยรอยยมและเสยงหวเราะภายใตรมเงาของ Laugh Alive Pavilion ในเทศกาล Bangkok Design Week 2020 ไดทาหนาทเปน Info Center และจดพกคอย จากแนวคดการออกแบบและการเลอกใชวสดทสามารถนามาใชซ�าได ทาให Pavilion นจะไมเหลอขยะใดๆ ทงไว และในวนนนเองผโชคดยงจะไดรบ “ลกโปงแหงความสข” กลบไปอกดวย
BANGKOKDESIGNWEEK2020
As part of Bangkok Design Week 2020, hosted by Thailand Creative and Design Center (TCDC), A49 collaborated with Bit.Studio, Moreloop, and Rightman created design for the “LAUGH ALIVE PAVILION”at the entrance of TCDC Bangkok, Central Post Office, Bangrak. The event, hosted for the third timeis organized under the theme of Resilience: New potential for living.
“LAUGH ALIVE PAVILION” is the information service hub for visitors of the event. Apart from interactive media designed to provide stimulating user experiences, the design of the area itself places emphasis on material recycling that aims to reduce waste. These provisions included 208 of shading fabric pieces constructed from modular materials that would later be converted into circular-shaped bags. The furniture including the info kiosk and meeting point were made from rental swimming rings from Bang Saen Beach. This led to the desired result of zero waste after the event ended. As for the visitors, the gifts they received from this event came not only in the form of knowledge, but also from bags and balloons filled with happiness and joy. see more

A49 hosted the 4th Circular Economy in Construction Industry (CECI) “Moving Towards Circular Economy” conference.
The topics of the conference focused and emphasized CE operations of the CECI group, and importantly, waste management in construction works. The later topic involved brainstorming on the reductionof environmental problems for the health of those living in urban areas as well as broadening ideas to achieve more practical impact solutions.

The design of this new residential and commercial developmentis a perfect platform to implement smart city and green building concepts. Located next to the Chulalongkorn University Centenary Park, and in the heart of an important water catchment areafor Bangkok, the design aimed to provide a continuous green living oasis in the midst of the concrete jungle. The landscaping was designed to support local biodiversity and enable residentsand the community to carry out daily activities unhinderedby the monsoon season. Buildings are laid out as interconnected “villages,” and they include adaptive learning spaces, creating a new benchmark for urban eco living.

PTT intends to create a gallery that is uniquely surrounded by nature and recognized worldwide.To emphasize the gallery’s natural context and to combine art and science with nature, the project consists of three main ideas: the first is to highlight the “nature landmark” by accentuating the distinct natural landscape; the second is to incorporate “art in nature” by merging nature into every exhibition space and creating new moods and tones for viewing art exhibitions; and the third is to arrange a comfortable “orientation” for the building by thinking of its seasonal weather conditions.

The proposed design of a waste management facility to sort general waste, infectious waste, toxic waste and recyclables. This building will also house the Environmental Office and the Chulalongkorn University Faculty of Medicine’s Maintenance Department. The owner’s intent was to create an exemplary, efficient waste management facility which improves the quality of life of those using the facility, is aesthetically modern, eco-friendly and energy efficient, without negative impact to the surrounding natural and built environment. From these requirements, a design concept was created with the aim to promote understanding among the general public, as a model of hospital waste management which places importance on waste sorting and managing green space around the facility. The resulting design is a structure which expresses transparency, making people aware of waste and enabling those on the outsideto observe the workings of an efficient waste management system.
