Warranty

Mundo Reader, S.L. (hereinafter, “Mundo Reader”) provides this Warranty, subject to the warranty legislation of the country in which the product is sold, to the buyers of the BQ products included in the sales package (hereinafter, the “Product”).

Mundo Reader guarantees that, for the duration of the Warranty Period, Mundo Reader (or a service agent authorised by Mundo Reader) shall correct, at no cost and in a commercially reasonable period of time, any material, design or manufacturing defects by repairing or replacing the Product.

This Warranty shall only be considered valid and effective in the country in which the Product was acquired, provided that Mundo Reader intended for the Product to be sold in the said country; however, if the Product was acquired in a Member State of the European Union, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland or Turkey, and if Mundo Reader originally intended for the Product to be sold in one of these countries, this Warranty shall be considered valid and effective in all of the aforementioned countries.

This warranty does not affect your rights under the legislation applicable in the country the Product was purchased, as long as Mundo Reader intended for the Product to be sold in that country.

Warranty Period

The Warranty Period is of twenty-four (24) months starting from the purchase by the first end user. In the extent to which it is permissible under the laws of the purchaser’s country, the Warranty Period shall not be extended, renewed or otherwise modified following the subsequent resale, repair or replacement of the Product by Mundo Reader. However, any parts that are repaired or replaced during the Warranty Period shall be guaranteed for either the remainder of the original Warranty Period or for a period of six (6) months from the date of repair/replacement, whichever is the greater.

Safety Precautions

Use your device responsibly. Before using it, read the following safety precautions:

o Do not insert any object into the four edges of the screen. o Do not spill any liquid on the device. Clean it with a damp cloth. If the

device gets wet, do not switch it on or attempt to repair it. Please contact the technical support service to get the eReader checked before switching it on again.

o Take care to avoid any direct and indirect impact to the device, which couldirreparably damage the screen and cause the product to malfunction.

o Keep the eReader away from dust, sand and dirt. o Do not use power cables, connectors or plugs that are damaged or contain

loose wiring. Do not bend or damage the power cable. Do not touch the power cable with wet hands. Do not pull on the cable to unplug the charger.

o Do not use the device while it is charging. Do not touch it with wet hands. o Do not hit the charger or cause it to fall. Do not charge the battery using

chargers that have not been approved by the manufacturer.o If you regularly use medical equipment, make sure it is protected against

radio frequency interference. o Avoid placing the device near to the abdominal and genital areas,

especially in pregnant women, children and adolescents . o Aeroplane mode. Use of the Wi-Fi function may be prohibited on aeroplanes

and in other places where radio transmissions are not permitted. Request permission before enabling Wi-Fi.

o Do not use the device in refuelling areas (e.g. petrol stations), underground parking zones or in the vicinity of flammable and/or explosive chemical products .

o Wi-Fi (WLAN). This device operates on the 2.4 GHz frequency band and issuitable for use in all European countries and Russia.

SAR values

The guidelines on exposure to radio waves use a unit of measurement known as the SAR (Specific Absorption Rate). SAR tests are carried out using standardised methods, with the device transmitting at the highest certified level of power on all the frequency bands it uses. The maximum SAR levels recommended by the ICNIRP (International Commission on Non Ionizing Radiation Protection) is 2 W/kg, measured on 10 g of tissue.

This device complies with the guidelines on exposure to radio frequency both when it is used in the normal position next to the ear and when it is positioned at least 5 mm from the body.

Disposing of this Product Correctly

The presence of this symbol on the product or on its accessories or informative material means that at the end of their useful lives neither the product nor its electronic accessories (charger, cables, etc.) should be disposed of together with other domestic waste.

To prevent any damage to the environment or human health, separate these products from other types of waste and recycle them correctly. This promotes the sustainable reuse of material resources and prevents the depletion of finite resources.

Household users should contact the retailer that they purchased the product from or the relevant local authorities to find out how and where to recycle this product safely and without harming the environment.

Business users should contact their supplier and consult the terms and conditions of the purchase agreement. This product and its electronic accessories should not be disposed of with other waste materials such as the box and non-electronic materials.
