“I have led you forty years in the wilderness. The clothes on your back have not worn out and the sandals on your feet have not worn out” Deuteronomy 29:5

Dearly beloved in Christ,

I greet you all in the name of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. I thank the almighty God for the blessings that He has

are: -

The people of God experienced 40 years of providential care in the wilderness (Ex.16:35) Forty days and night rain at the time of Noah (Gen.7:12) God made Israel wander for forty years. (Num.14:33-34) God allowed the land to have rest for 40 years (Jud.3:11; 5:31; 8:28) Eli judged Israel for 40 years (1 Sam.4:18) Saul reigned Israel for 40 years (Acts 13:21) David reigned over Israel for 40 years (2Sam. 15:24) Moses was with God in the mount 40 days and 40 nights (Ex. 24:18) Jesus fasted 40 days and nights (St. Mathew 4:2)

These are some of the examples that prove 40 is an important number considering the bible community. It is relevant for our parish since we also celebrate 40th year. It is a time to thank God for His benevolence and also a time to evaluate our life. Never forget the ways we leave behind. If we count the blessings we have been experiencing in our life, we will be more humble. Don’t boast about our merits but trust in the faithfulness of the Almighty. Guide our children according to the gospel values. Be prepared to be a life giving stream to our society.

We are called as God’s stewards to manage the resources which belong to God. We are accountable to our Lord. We must take care the mother earth and its resources.

For our church, this month is very important. Our heavenly father ordains the selected people as priests for His ministry. It is a blessed moment in the history of Sharjah Mar Thoma Church that our member Dn. Noble M Mathew ordained as

ordained as Kassessa on 15th of this month. We o�er our prayers and support and also pray will bethat his ministry may be a blessing to many.

I take this opportunity to congratulate the students who achieved good results in their exams and wish all blessings for their higher studies.

Our members Mr. Jose Mathew and Mr. Praveen Varghese and some of our member’s relatives were taken in to the heavenly abode. I pray that God may be with the bereaved family and comfort them with His peace.

The Lord answers you in the day of trouble. The name of the God of Jacob protects you. (Psalms 20:1).
