The industry: gaming and animation can employ a large number of people, provided trainedmanpower is available.
Help us in connecting with other ministries especially education
We need the govt. to promote creation of game products and Indian gaming IP eg: France,Korea, Malaysia Multimedia Corridor
Brand and image building internationally: participation in industry event such as E3, Cannes,Game Developer Conference India Pavilions in these expos
Help us cope with the current manpower constraints and the knowledge gathering process byproviding special tax rates for obtaining overseas game development consulting services
Help expand consumer base: Gaming consoles like Xbox and PlayStation2 are currentlyattracting high rates of customs duty. $150 console ends up costing $300 in India. Majorplayers like Sony and Microsoft will make investments if they can sell their consoles here at anaggressive price.
