Birth & Death Walter Elias Disney Was Born December 5th, 1901, in Chicago Ill, and died December 15th, 1966 fromLung Cancer. He was just going in for a neck injury, but soon found out about his diagnosis with lung cancer

Occupation Walt had already had his career in mind at a very young age. He wanted to be a cartoonist. In 1923. Waltmoved to California where he set up his own studio. Five years later he created Steamboat Willie, the firstanimation with synchronized sound. In 1937, he released his full-length animation film Snow white and theSeven Dwarfs. He fallowed that with other classic loveable movies such as Bambi, Pinocchio, Mary Pippins, TheLion King and Tarzan.

Walt Disney was the winner 30 Academy Awards. In 1937 he created Snow White and the SevenDwarfs, he introduced a new method for synchronizing sound with animation and the first to use threecolor process (in flowers and trees.) In addition, he produced the first full-length animated picture.

Characters Walt Disney was the creator of Mickey Mouse. He drew a mouse because he was inspiredby a mouse while on a train with his wife Lillian. Walt didn’t only create Mickey Mouse, he createdalmost every cartoon character in Disney. For example, Arial , Winnie The Pooh, Cinderella,Pinocchio. Many more as well.

Popular Films Walt Disney also created all the Disney cartoon films, such as The Lion King, The littler Mermaid,Beauty and the Beast, and many more as well. Walt has made millions for his three-color process and full-length animated picture. Snow white was the first film Walt ever made

His Amusement Parks Disney World opened October 25th, 1971. Walt opening his own amusement park named Disney World was a visionary, because he was so disappointed with the amusement parks in the 1940’s. They were very dirty, adult oriented places. He wanted a place for children and adults to both have a place to enjoy themselves.
