What will happen now?

More than 40 people we support participated in our first-ever Involvement Conference at the Village Hotel, Solihull during November 2014.

Workshops on choosing support staff, equality and human rights, our future strategy and the involvement groups were held during the two-day event.

Speakers at the conference included Paul Snell, our Chief Executive; Richard Keagan-Bull, a member of our Board of Trustees; Keith Smith, Development Manager at the British Institute of Learning Disabilities; and involvement group facilitators from around the UK.

People we support were delighted to have a dedicated conference where they could voice their opinions about different matters.

People were asked for their experiences – good and bad – with human rights so that we can raise awareness of the rights people with disabilities have.

Equality and Human Rights

The ideas will influence next year's Strategic Aims and our three-year Strategic Objectives.
