Introduction

My Name is Patrick Pajarillaga and I am 14 years old. My ethnicity is Filipino, but I was born here in the United States of America. My parents are both from the Philippines, but moved here when my Dad joined the United States Navy. I have one younger sibling that is 13 years old and goes to Rancho del Rey Middle School.

I like to dig my heels into gaming, reading books, and using the computer. I play a variety of games; some of the games I play are Starcraft II, Call of Duty, and League of Legends. My favorite type of books I like to read are novels that have plot twists because I love the element of surprise when reading. Some of my favorite websites I visit are YouTube, Face book, and Twitter.

Some literal labels I like to wear are Nike because of how comfortable and somewhat cheap it is. Another literal label I like to wear is G-Shock because I like the design of the watch and how light some of them are. One figurative label I get a lot is that I am a Nerd. I do feel this fits me because I sort of am a nerd in many ways. There are not any other labels I would like to wear because I am content with who I am.

I usually do my soul searching in my room; whether it be I am thinking about something significant in my life or reflecting on my actions, it is normally in my bedroom. If not my bedroom, then anywhere that is quiet, peaceful, and makes me feel calm and collected.

Whenever I need any support; whether it be physically or emotional, I would directly go to my parents, friends, or a close teacher. They are normally the ones I have the most trust in and are able to help me whenever I encounter any problems in my life. If I had to choose out of those three I had gotten the most support from, it has to be my parents because they love and respect me the most out of everyone in my life.

I have a lot of things that keep me busy during the week. One of the things is Mustang Robotics at Otay Ranch High School. My team and I construct robots to compete in tournaments that are held in other schools inside and outside of San Diego. Another thing that keeps be busy is that I am in a handbell choir at my church. We play around two times a year and take around 9 months practicing our musical pieces.

Many things keep me on my toes and alert. One of the things that keeps me alert is my brother because if I am either dozing of or completely unaware of him, he would just try to sneak up on me and scare me. Another thing that keeps me on my toes are my parents. I don’t know if scaring people is hereditary in my family but sometimes my family tries to surprise me as well.

There are a scarce amount of things that brings water to my eyes, but when it does the water comes rushing down like Niagara Falls. It has to be something so tear jerking that it makes me depressed for a week or it makes me feel a warm and pleasant feeling on the inside. One of the things that have made me cry is when one of my Grandparents had passed away. It was one of the only moments I had cried because I had loved him so much.

One of the situations that causes me to get a knot in my stomach is trying to speak in front of others. I am always thinking of what if I mess up or forget the material I am supposed to say. Another situation that gets me nervous is when I am standing at a high elevated area. If I was stuck sitting of the edge of the Grand Canyon, I would die just from being afraid and thinking I may lose my balance and fall off.

I usually like to talk about anything current; whether it be the latest news on a news channel or exciting new facts on a internet forum. In addition, I also like to talk about anything technological/scientific happening in the world, such as new electric cars or the discovery of a new element that could change the world as we know it. I believe that knowledge is power and it is great to have general knowledge in many areas.
