July Trestle Board
Anaheim Lodge 207 Free & Accepted Masons of the State of California
Gree ngs from the Sta on of Wisdom,
I hope all the Dads out there had a cool and happy Father’s Day and I look forward to a brilliant Independence Day coming up. I wish everyone a fun, safe and enjoyable week-end as the lodge transi ons into the 2nd half of our Masonic year.
I’d like to congratulate Brother John Porter again on his Hiram Award and for everyone in a endance. It was an honor presen ng that to his lovely wife Agnes and I hope our friends and families had a blast. I’d also like to congratulate Brother Eddie Magana on his passing to the degree of Fellowcra . Lastly, we witnessed an excellent pair of 3rd
Degree Returns delivered by our own 2 officers, Brothers Echesabal and Reidy. Examples, my brethren, worthy of imita on!
I’ve charged the officer’s line on producing the meal for our 4th of July themed Stated Mee ng and have appointed our Senior Deacon Brother Bowen on the oversight. It is my hope that this will give the officer's a more realis c idea of what goes into planning our dinners to help prepare us and build confidence as we move forward. With the right approach, I think it could be a really fun & informal night. The dress code for night will be American authen c (I'll let the brethren interpret that one) so expect a great American meal. There are rumors about that Wor. Witherspoon will be performing with his band.
Next month, we’ll have a couple of 3rd degrees (come by to see our new Tyler’s toast). Looking forward, we have a couple of really great events planned at the end of August. Please consider dona ng your me, blood, energy and/or purchasing ckets to support our great lodge!

From the South From the West Gree ngs Brethren from the Sta on of Beauty,
HAPPY BIRTH-DAY AMERICA! 239 years old and coun ng. Isn't it great to live here in America?
My Brothers, thank you for the turn-outs for Stated Mee ng Dinners. It is a pleasure to help prepare them, as well as a giant Masonic Thank You to the brothers who pitch in and help prepare, serve and clean-up. I am not sure what we will be enjoying for our July Stated Mee ng as Andrew and crew will be preparing the meal. I am sure it will be excellent and I am sure they would appreciate any help my brothers can give them.
We look forward to our "1st Annual BBQ Smoke Off & Blood Drive" on August 22, 2-5 pm. as well as our Night at the Pageant of the Masters on the 28th. See the Master or Sen-ior Warden for ckets. Remember we serve our communi es and Brothers in many ways.
And as always, "Real Men Wear Aprons.”
Fraternally yours, Robb Morris, Junior Warden

Gree ngs Brethren from the Sta on of Strength
This Fourth of July, we might find our-selves celebra ng with fireworks, bar-becuing, congre-ga ng with loved ones and enjoying our precious free me with a good day trip to the beach – a far cry from what our founding fathers would have done. But July Fourth is also a me to step back, take stock and appreciate the glori-ous Freedoms we enjoy every day and make you proud to be an American.
This month is actually another month of reflec on as we approach the anniver-sary of our Country’s first day of Inde-pendence hundreds of years ago. With our Brother, George Washington at the helm, many other Freemasons such as Benjamin Franklin, Paul Revere, and John Hancock all played a significant part in the Great American Revolu on that led to this celebratory day.
This great day having come into frui on through the arduous work of Brothers who had a vision, of Brothers who were very dedicated, of Brothers who put their minds together to make that vision become a reality. That vision eventually became the United States of America and we all have the privilege of cele-bra ng this great day every Fourth of July.
How proud we should be, that at least 9 of the 56 signers of the Declara on of Independence were Freemasons and 11 more are rumored to have been Masons. This is but one Masonic snippet in the great intertwined history which our Fra-ternity shares with the U.S., but it is my

hope that this fact will serve as a reminder that we are connected in more ways to the past, and the founders of this country, we Thank you.
Let’s remember year-round that many of the greatest principles on which our great na on was founded were in-spired by the rituals and tenets of our Cra . I’m glad to be a part of this Great Na on and Great Fraternity with you all. While poli cs have no place in our present day Lodges, many of our early American Brethren worked for what would become the start of our Government and literally fought for the Freedoms we now enjoy today.
Last of all let us not forget our Brothers whom are enduring sickness and health issues. We wish each of them a speedy and rapid recovery. To our Brothers, Worshipful Chuck Ogden, Ray Daily, Bud Coleman, we wish them a speedy recovery and to all others in the Lodge, a well-traveled road to recovery. Also, keep in our prayers the rest of our Brothers and their wives. If you are aware of any sickness or distress among the brethren, please communi-cate the details to me via email or by calling my cell. Please make sure if it is alright to share this informa on with the brothers of Prairie View. I won’t publish any details regarding sickness or distress on our lodge website.
The United States of America has an incredible history, and we are proud to share this history as Americans and also as Masons. What can you do out of the Lodge to make this a be er Na on?
Happy Fourth of July.
