SITUATION VACANT

Applications are invited for the post of PhD Studentship @ 25,000/- per month in the HEC funded Project No. 8545 entitled “Development of simple and novel inorganic hole transport materials for perovskite solar cells”. The appointment will be purely on contract basis. Applicants are required to be enrolled in PhD in Physics with no 3rd division. PhD THESIS/SYNOPSIS DEFENCE

1. PhD thesis defense of Mr. Waqar Ahmad, Regd. No. 2008-ag-2559, PhD Agri. Extension Candidate has been scheduled to be held on 18-12-2020 at 02:15 pm at the premises of the Institute of Agricultural Extension, Education and Rural Development, UAF. All interested are invited to attend. The title of his thesis is “An analysis of factors affecting dissemination of agricultural information among farmers through ICT”.

2. The thesis defense of Miss Anam Ansari, Regd. No. 2007-ag-1122, PhD student at the National Institute of Food Science & Technology, will be held on 16-12-2020 at 11:00 am in video conference room, National Institute of Food Science & Technology, UAF. The title of her thesis is “Wheat flour fortification for tackling micronutrient deficiencies”. All interested participant are cordially invited.

3. Mr. Ijaz Haider, Regd. No. 1992-ag-1355, a PhD student of the Department of Entomology, will defend his PhD thesis on 09-12-2020 at 11:00 am in DLC-2 video conference room, Faculty of Agriculture, UAF. The title of his PhD thesis is “Assessment of Population Dynamics, Host Plant Resistance and Potential of Entomopathogenic Fungi against Sogatella furcifera (Hov.) (Homoptera: Delphacidae) on Rice Crop”. All interested may attend on scheduled date and time.

4. Mrs. Saima Liaqar, Regd. No. 2006-ag-1024, PhD student of Poultry Science, Institute of Animal and Dairy Sciences will defend her PhD synopsis entitle “Comparative effect of various oils dietary supplementation on production performance, gut morphology and fatty liver disease in layers” as required under the rules on 09-12-2020 at 11:15 am in conference room of Institute of Animal and Dairy Sciences.

5. Mr. Akhtar Hameed, Regd. No. 2010-ag-3122, PhD student of the Department of Plant Pathology will defend his PhD thesis in a seminar at the University level on 10-12-2020 at 02:00 pm in DLC Lab 2, Faculty of Agriculture, UAF. The title of his thesis is “Prediction and Biochemical profiling of citrus canker disease and its integrated management.

6. Saba Manzoor, Regd. No. 2007-ag-221, PhD Zoology, Wildlife & Fisheries student of the Department of Zoology, Wildlife & Fisheries has successfully defended her thesis entitled “Studies on response of some passerine birds to climate change in rural and urban environments of Central Punjab” as required under the rules on 04-12-2020.

7. Miss Aliya Hanif, Regd. No. 2009-ag-2756, PhD student of the Institute of Horticultural Sciences has successfully defended her thesis in a seminar held on 08-12-2020 at 11:00 am in the DLC-2, UAF. The title of her thesis is “Post Harvest management to maintain the quality and shelf life of Papaya under cold storage”.

All interested persons are invited to take part in the bid. One third amount of the bid will be received at the spot while the balance will be received after the approval of competent authority. The competent authority has the right to accept or reject the bid. Advance income tax @ 10% for filler and 20% for non-filer will be collected from the highest bidder and deposited in the Govt. Treasury. In case not participation of any bidder/failure of auction procedure, the same items will be re-auctioned on 15-12-2020 (Tuesday) at same time and conditions.
