About the Summit

The 3rd edition of India Refining Summit was successfully held on 19 - 20 July 2018 at Hotel Shangri-La Eros, New Delhi. Organised by Messe Frankfurt India, the conference witnessed the participation of 45+ public sector and private multina-tional companies which includes big leagues from Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, Hindustan Petroleum, Nayara Energy, Indian Institute of Petroleum, PwC India, Engineers India Ltd, Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry, Numaligarh Refinery, Mangalore Refinery, Technip, Honeywell UOP, Fluor India, Tubacex Group.

The Summit deliberated on the theme Refining and Petrochemicals – Innovation and Excellence’ and covered the challenges faced by refining sector from all spheres including the oil imports, environment challenges, refining capacity expansion projects, biofuel blending programs by refineries, Opportunities in refining and petrochemical Integration.

The Inaugural session discussed on the Increasing the refining capacity by 2030 which was enriched with the very insightful presentations of the Inaugural guests Mr. Suresh Chopra, Executive Director, Projects, Indian Oil and Mr. Debasish Bera, Associate Director, Oil and Gas, PwC India. The Chief Guest Shri. R P Gupta, Addi-tional Secretary, Energy, NITI Aayog supported the discussion by presenting various Government policies undertaken in energy sector impacting the oil downstream industry and refining expansion projects.
