VMR and SAGE
• Initial phases of adopting the VMR
• Need to apply VMR to a broader group of guidelines than it was originally designed for (outpatient in UK).
• Still learning

Proposal
• Base VMR classes on HL7 R-MIMS Mood codes determined at this level Model maintained by appropriate TC Larger (more complex) model
• Longer object references
Not all R-MIMs included in VMR Data retrieval and storage services closely
related to those used for messaging

Questions
• What is the appropriate level for specifying the VMR? R-MIM HMD Message Types
• What is the formal VMR specification?

Complexity
• Is an un-simplified R-MIM too complex?
• Is complexity bad? Who has to work with the complexity?
• Can we write via the VMR with a model that is significantly less complex than what is specified in the R-MIM?
