Thermostat Part Number Nomenclature

What does it mean?



The thermostat nomenclature can be confusing to even the seasoned HVAC professional.

Many are unaware of what the combination of numbers and letters mean.

This confusion can sometimes lead to purchasing the wrong thermostat; a wasteful and frustrating mistake.

But, this mistake can be easily avoided by remembering just a few key codes.

• The VisionPRO is a touchscreen 7-Day Programmable Thermostat, meaning a homeowner can program a heat/cool schedule for all 7 days of the week.

Programming the VisionPRO® 8000



Home Screen

To set up a schedule, touch the “Schedule” button on the bottom menu bar.

Click “EDIT” to enter scheduling

Check appropriate days for schedule. (Note: okay to pick multiple days)

Click “WAKE” on the bottom menu bar to program Wake time. Adjust heat/cool temperature by touching the up/down arrow keys.

Touch “CANCEL PERIOD” at any time to delete selections and start over.

Click “LEAVE” on the bottom menu bar to program Leave time. Adjust heat/cool temperature by touching the up/down arrow keys.

Follow the same procedure for “RETURN” and “SLEEP”

Once Complete, touch the “DONE” button on the bottom menu bar.

The “SAVING CHANGES” screen will appear notifying the user that their schedule has been saved.

The thermostat will immediately start following the programmed schedule.

There are three types of hold options:




Temporary Hold:

Holds the temperature until the next scheduled period.




Permanent Hold:

Will hold temperature set point until “Cancel” button is pushed.




Vacation Hold:

Will hold temperature set point for the specified number of days.
