*Street Sanding is ongoing as winter rolls along. Just watch for the guys as they’re working.

**Council held its regular meeting on January 15th and we reviewed a number of different topics/ issues and you can catch up on our council minutes anytime through the village website. Our next council meeting is on February 19th

*Mayor Kevin Urbanoski and Administrator Lyndon Stachoski attended the SUMA Convention from Feb. 2 - 4 in Regina. They had the chance to chat with other towns and villages and share ideas. They participated in a number of workshops and visited the Trade Show to see if there was anything of particular interest for the Village.

*Patricia from the office attended a ‘Grant Writing’ ‘Grant Writing’ workshop so that we can be better prepared and ready to access the wide assortment of grant money that is available out there! The Grants / Funding options are difficult to get with the ever growing need by many villages, towns and cities applying for these. If they are not done properly, most applications are discarded.

*Speaking of Grants, we have applied to one Grant regarding the Museum as we get set to open the facility to the public this summer. We will be applying for another Grant also related to the museum. Hopefully we’ll get one of these to help with hiring a student/person for the summer!

-The process of draining the landfill site at the village dump-ing grounds has been halted for the winter. The provincial government has requested this be completely filled in / lev-elled off as quickly as possible. We will continue to fill in what we can over the winter months before spring thaw. This will be a long process and is going to take time to complete.
