P. Seenivasan, N. Sathish Kumar, C. Vikram Kumar, Revathy, Nithya and Sujitha of III IT

students won the 1st prize (one lakh cash) in Smart India Hackathon 2017 under Ministry of

External Affairs. It was guided by Dr. A. JameerBasha, Professor and Head of IT

Hackathon at IIT Chennai on 20.8.2017. They have received one lakh cash prize and

Online Certification Courses

Spoken Tutorial exam in C and CPP has been conducted on 13.04.2017 by IT Department.

In the Academic year 2016 – 2017 odd semester, 52 students of IT have cleared the

NPTEL online courses like Programming in Data structures and algorithms using Python,

Introduction to Operating Systems, Introduction to Modern Application Development,

Theory of Computation, Programming in C++ and Mobile computing.

252 students of IT have cleared the NPTEL online courses like Programming in C++,

Programming in Data Structures using Python, Theory of Computation, Wireless Adhoc

Network, Introduction to Operating System, Internetwork Security and Introduction to

modern application development in the Academic year 2016-2017 even semester.
