We are thrilled to be trying a new format for this year’s Teachers’ Conference. We have been fortunate, all these years, to have had speakers who have been able to straddle the whole school, delivering outstanding, quality PD to teachers from the Early Years right through to High School. But this year, we thought we’d give teachers a very focussed two-days, where they can really dig their heels in. Partnering with ECIS was only logical – their network of speakers is incomparable! We are proud of where we find ourselves today, and we hope to be able to continue to count on your support

PERSONALISING LEARNING: DIFFERENTIATING TEACHING, LEARNING AND ASSESSMENT

In order to prepare students to meet the challenging demands of today’s interconnected

society and technology-driven workplace, schools and parents are seeking forward-

looking education for their children. There is an ever-increasing need for an education

framework that transcends national boundaries and provides young citizens with the

tools and skills to be responsible members of local and global communities.

This hands-on and minds-on workshop in Amritsar focuses on how an IB education can

provide middle school teachers with effective educational frameworks and authentic

assessment models to meet the diverse learning needs of the 21st century learners.

Throughout the workshop, participants will have several opportunities to reflect on their

current classroom practice and develop a deeper understanding of the various aspects

of an inquiry based and concept driven curriculum.

Here is the workshop overview:Ready, willing and able: Preparing middle school students for further education and for life

PERSONALISING LEARNING: DIFFERENTIATING TEACHING, LEARNING AND ASSESSMENT

The International School Bangalore (TISB) follows the motto ‘life and learning are one’.

To take the learning to such a level it is imperative that the teachers constantly upgrade

their learning. The TISB Training Academy for Teachers and Leaders was initiated to

extend professional development qualifications to teachers and leaders from TISB,

NAFL and NPS institutions. The academy is now offering courses to other educational

institutions as well, which are custom made to their needs. The academy is successfully

running modular, residential, certificate and diploma courses for aspiring and

experienced teachers and leaders.

Being a pioneer in the field of education, we understand the dynamic classroom of

today and the need for knowledge of various pedagogies, strategies and novel

approaches towards teaching. Our academy is a certified training centre for Cambridge

International Diplomas in Teaching and Learning and Educational Leadership.
