    Job Description:

    The student will take a role in implementing various media production initiatives and assist the

    Promotions and Non-Personal Media Officer with projects in Riding Mountain National Park.

    Duties will include capturing new photos and video as required and editing existing video footage.

    Primary duties will be focused on assisting with video/photo projects, but may also include various

    promotional activities in the Park from marketing to events. This position is within the seasonal

    time frame for core operations within the Wasagaming and area business community.

    Specialization:

    Media Production (Videography/ Photography)

    Digital Media Design

    Communications

    Hourly Rates of Pay: $12.77 17.92 (Under Review)

    Duration of Employment: Students are typically hired for seasonal full-time employment from

    mid-May to late August.

    Academic Level: Must be enrolled in post-secondary education.

  • Knowledge and Skills required:

    Experience using DSLRs

    Experience or knowledge planning and developing photo and video shoots (research, shot list,

    documentation)

    Experience or knowledge with hands-on and post video production (audio, lighting).

    Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere Pro (After Effects, Photoshop,

    InDesign, and Illustrator are major assets).

    Strong verbal and written skills.

    Experience working with the public.

    Ability to follow video and design usage guidelines.

    Language Requirement: English essential, French an asset.
