Sir Edward Elgar (1857-1934)
Born: 2nd June, 1857
Died: 23rd February, 1934
Best known for his orchestral works including Enigma Variations, and The Pomp and Circumstance Marches.
Richard Strauss (1864-1949)
Born: 11th June, 1864
Died: 8th September,1949
Most known for his operas, especially Der Rosenkavalier, Salome, Lieder, and Four Last Songs.

Styles Compared to todays music, which is
somewhat repetitive, Victorian Era music flowed from one genre to another over the course of the piece.
