Overwhelming positive comments

• Brilliant fun, exhausting but exhilarating!!!• Brilliant team spirit! Loved every minute of it and will

definitely do it again• So easy to dab at check points. Great mix of outdoor

pursuits. Not an unachievable fundraising target• I really enjoyed the day and found all the organisers

very friendly and helpful, thanks very much for all your hard work

• Awesome team event. Extremely well organised. Massive fun for everyone

• Fun filled day which encouraged team spirit and bonding

More positive comments

• Really enjoyed the day! Can't wait for next year• Thanks for inspiring me to get fit at the grand old age

of 43!• Only to say it was great to see the sponsors all taking

part - and all credit to the BCF teams who kept the ceilidh going and maintained the party right to the end

• Would never usually do water challenges, irrational phobia of deep water, cried at start of kayaking but so glad I did it!

• I still can’t walk downstairs 3 days later!

Yet more positive comments

• Hard work but totally worth it• It’s a great weekend and a great way to raise money

for good causes and improve your own fitness• It's great fun, you don't need to be an elite athlete,

you do need to be prepared to have a go and it's very friendly

• Fantastic day spent having a lot of fun with friends - and a brilliant sense of having worked together to achieve something...

• Everybody can do it at their own level of fitness. It fills you with relief, pride and positivism when completed

How did you hear about the Vet Charity Challenge?

How can we improve in 2014?

1. Change the Quest Tasks, preferred the physical activities from last year – also more interesting for spectators

2. Party tickets too expensive, party in one room3. Provide lunch or make it clearer to bring your own

lunch (not much available in machines at college)

4. Accommodation dirty, not expected to share uni-sex showers. (Suggest set expectations better that we are using student accommodation)

5. Penalties for cheating – (Enforce the 10m rule – penalties)

6. Improve the party meal – wider range of food, more vegetarian options – some did not get their choice

How can we improve in 2014?

7. Free tea and coffee during the day for competitors and spectators

8. Mass warm up?

9. Prizes for 2nd and 3rd

10. Prize for best team name

Hints for teams for 2014

Suggestions from competitors

•Take someone who can read a map•Take a change of clothing - got wet with kayaking•Work out where can lunch be left on the day?•Bring own lunch•Have some people as reserves, just in case•Maybe worth bringing along a support person. Especially for practices that have a number of teams entered

Suggestions for charities for 2014

Final thoughts…

• Great fun! Quite difficult as very challenging. Take lunch as no lunch supplied. Book early for rooms with bathrooms. Train before hand

• Excellent day, extreme fun and a good laugh, all in the aid for charity

• Can't imagine a more enjoyable way to raise funds for some very worthwhile causes

• Awesome! An absolute must do! Finished the day with a great balance of tiredness, happiness and a huge sense of achievement. I am determined to get more teams next year

• It was a great day catered for absolutely anyone and everyone could come out with a sense of achievement and have had a really fun time

Thank you
