INTRODUCTION ARCHITECHTURE NETWORKING PROPERTIES APPLICATIONS CONCLUSION
OVERVIEW OF VEHICULAR SENSOR NETWORKS
The rate of accidents on highways has been growing in an ascending mode, as per the report of the national high way traffic safety administration (NHTSA), in us only vehicles crashes on the highways resulted in the loss of 40,0000 lives.
It was therefore, necessary to give better safety.
In previous decades passive safety systems like safety belts, airbags were widely used.
After that abs(anti brake system), esp(electronic stabilty programs) are being used.
INTRODUCTION
The Important Components Of Its (Intelligent Transportation System) Is VANET (Vehicular ADhoc Network) In Which Vehicles Are Equipped With Short Range And Medium Range Wireless Communication
Here we have two kinds of communication
1. v2v(vehicle to vehicle )
2. v2i(vehicle to roadside units).
ArchitectureMobile sensor nodes: these are embedded onboard vehiclesStationary sensor nodes (rss) : They are deployed in a predetermined distance beside the road.Base Stations : They are police traffic control check posts, fire fighting stations etc…

SCHEMATIC VIEW OF ACCIDENT CASE
GPS signals are under the effect of the following which attenuate them:
Delay of troposphere and ionosphere Orbit errors Obstacles : Buildings , trains etc..
Hardware constraints: Dependency on GPRS system online Less accuracy ( upto 15 meters in positioning and 0.5kmph
for velocity)
Applications:Safety Applications:
Velocity monitoring Accident notification Cooperative collision avoidance
Convenience Applications: Congested road notification Electronic penalty bill
Commercial Applications: Roadside advertising and marketing
Conclusion:
With respect to the future works on this proposal , the rate of accidents and followed by it the number of causalities and injuries will be reduced
THANK YOU…!
