Valery Vladimirovich Miloserdov was born in the town of Electrostal, Moscow Region on August 11, 1951. His first coach was Nikolai Ivanovich Bartashevich. Valery started playing basketball in BC CSKA in 1970.

• Valery Miloserdov is considered to have been an outstanding shooting guard both in the Soviet and European basketball in the 1970th-1980th.

• V.Miloserdov was notable for his strong will, physical strength, courage in the game, ability to create a high volume of shots on offense, both middle- and long-ranged.

Nowadays Valery Vladimirovich MiIoserdov is President of the Electrostal Basketball Federation, a member of the executive committee of the Moscow Region Basketball Federation, Vice-principal of the Electrostal Olympic Reserve school (SDUShOR).

He does a lot to prepare young basketball players for the sport of highest achievements. V.V.Miloserdov has been recognized as an Honored Citizen of the town of Electrostal.
