VAG RIKO® Plunger Valve

VAG-Armaturen has redesigned the plunger valve which was already establis-hed in the water supply for many decades. Today it’s called our VAG RIKOPlunger Valve which is available in nominal widths from DN 150 up to DN 1600*,PN 10 up to PN 40.

The compact and single-piece body is made of high quality ductile iron EN-JS1030 (GGG 40). Up to DN 600 all inner parts are made of stainless steel. Anessential advantage is the new piston guid: armour-coated with bronze.New sealing systems for pistons, shaft bearings and seats guaranty a goodcorrosion protection and high performance.

Range of application

Plunger valves are designed to fulfillregulating functions in the water supply.Unlike butterfly or gate valves assumingonly shut-off functions in pipelinesystems, plunger valves meet the spe-cial requirements of regulating operati-ons.

• Sealing seat in the no-flow zone toensure maximum service life.

• Actuated by a self-locking worm gearwith constant transmission ratio toachieve a linear control curve inconnection with an optimal controlinsert.

• High efficiency of the valve due to itsoptimised design and improved flowpath.

• Connecting rod running on bearings inmaintenance-free, robust bronze-plastic compound bushings.

Water treatment

As start-up valve for pumps, or as flow-control valve for filtration plants equip-ped with seating or cylinder in specialversions.

As pressure regulating valve with diffe-rent regulating insertion sets.
