OC

Our committed staff of student leaders provides trip organization and instruction for all OC trips and instructional workshops. In addition to extensive personal skill development and previous experiences, all OC trip leaders are required to participate in a comprehensive skill development program. The OC leadership curricula emphasize safety, creation of a positive learning environment (PLE) and sound judgment and decision-making skills. In addition, all OC leaders are required to complete a minimum of a Wilderness First Aid (WFA) certifi cation course. In addition to classroom instruction and skill review, all leadership training requires fi eld practical experiences and fi nal assessment. Upon program completion, new leaders are required to apprentice trips with senior OC leaders.

Greetings uvm students!UVM Outdoor Programs offer comprehensive,
