INTrOduCTION—

this guide is intended for all Videotron mobile customers, regardless of the mobile phone.

As a result, the commands and keys may differ depending on the device.

Also note that shortcut keys are a quick and easy way to access frequently used applications. You may also be able to program shortcut keys to applica-tions of your choice on your device.

If necessary, refer to your device’s user guide.

Some devices may not support access to the Videotron Portal.


dESCrIpTION— Designed for all Videotron mobile subscribers who are also subscribed to Videotron cable tV service and have a Personal Video Recorder (PVR) at home, this feature is used to remotely program their PVR.

easy to use and accessible via the Videotron Portal, the Remote Recorder has four features:

• my favourite channels: create a list of your favourite tV channels that you can use to quickly select the shows you’d like to record.

• View tV listings: obtain tV listings for the channels included in your Videotron cable tV package so that you can select the shows you’d like to record. remotely.

• manual recording: Program the recording of your shows without having to consult the tV listings.

• search: Do a keyword search through the tV listings to find the show you’d like to record.

Note :

only the channels that are part of your Videotron cable distribution service

can be accessed via the Remote record.


HOW TO uSE THE rEMOTE rECOrdEr—

1. ACCESSINg THE SErvICE:

• OntheVideotron Portal page, click Remote Recorder in the navigation menu.

• TheRemote Recorder page is displayed.

2. uSINg THE SErvICE:

to browse this page, use the navigation buttons on your mobile device or touch the screen if you have a mobile phone with a touch screen. click the option of your choice.

confirm the terminal you want to record the tV show on: • TheterminalmodelisdisplayedatthebottomoftheRemote Recorder

page.

• Ifyouhavemorethanoneterminal,theRemote Recorder will select the oldest model by default. click change to change terminals.

• AlistoftheterminalsinyourhomeisdisplayedontheSwitchPVRpage. Select the terminal that you’d like to use. make sure that it has a recording function before selecting it. click confirm.

• YouareautomaticallyredirectedtotheRemote Recorder page, which now displays the terminal you selected.

Performing a keyword search to record a show: • Enterakeyword(suchasthenameofashoworhost)thatisatleast

three characters long in the search field.

• Clickthemagnifyingglassicontotherightofthesearchfield.

• Thelistofshowsthatmatchthekeywordaredisplayed.

• Clicktheshowyouwouldliketorecord.

• Onthepagethatisdisplayed,clickRecord to program the recording of the show.

• TheRemote Recorder page is displayed, confirming that the show has been added to the recording list.

• Repeattheaforementionedstepstorecordothershows.

Recording a show through your Favourite channels: • OntheRemote Recorder page, click in my favourite channels.

• Thefirsttimeyouusethisoption,themessage“Your Favourites list is empty” is displayed on the Favourite channels page.

• Toaddchannelstoyourfavourites,clickAdd a channel to Favourites.

• OntheAdd a channel to Favourites page, check the boxes corresponding to the channels that you would like to add to the list.

• ClickAdd. the selected channels will be added to your favourites.

• TheFavourite Channels page contains the list of your favourite channels.

• YoucanremoveachannelfromthelistatanytimebyclickingonRemove underneath the name of the channel.

• Torecordashow,clickachannel.

• SelectadayontheSelect a day page.

• YoumayselectatimeperiodontheProgram List page.

• SelecttheshowfromtheTVlistings.

• Repeattorecordothershows.

Note : You can add channels to your favourites from several locations in the application. For instance, you can add channels from the page that contains the synopsis of a show.

using the manual recording option to record a show: • OntheRemote Recorder page, click the manually option.

• OntheManual recording page, first enter the channel (this is the channel number, such as 006 for cBc montréal).

• Next,entertherecordingstartandendtimes(hh/mm).


Note :

If you click cancel, the recording will not be programmed. You will be

automatically redirected to the Remote Recorder page.

• Thehomepageisdisplayed,confirmingthattheshowhasbeenaddedtothe recording list.

there is no charge to access the Remote Recorder. Browsing is billed on a per-use basis or deducted from your data add-on if you have subscribed to one of our Internet on your mobile service.
