Defining NIDUS…

While making nidus online it was very important for us to understand Mission, objective, Goals ,strategy and intent of nidus store. We started working on understanding Nidus better. We got in touch with the management who were involved in setting up Nidus trying to understand their perspectives.

• Connecting NID's good designs to the outside world thereby establishing a direct interface with the people Online.

•Providing a testing ground for validating the design ideas developed by NID students/faculty/technical staff through direct consumer feedback.

•Encouraging more people to visit the Institute's public interface areas like Design Gallery, Design Shop, etc., thereby getting directly or indirectly exposed to Design.

•Promoting further the “NID Brand”, as also the work of students, faculty and alumni.

•Providing an interface and platformfor budding design.

Mr Shirsh is a student in a PG course of design for Retail Experience at National Institute of Design in Bangalore. He uses a computer in his work, but he's a student. A computer is very important in his life. He can gather mostly information what is need him and used as an entertainment device. Some time used to purchase online products

Mr Sasi Kumar T is an PG in management and doing his business. He uses a computer in his work, but he's a trader by profession. A computer is very important in his life to gather information and some time also use for shopping online and is also used as an

entertainment device.

Mr Savele is an Administrator for NIDUS at NID Bangalore. He uses a computer in his work, but he's a Admin - accountant by profession. A computer is very important in his life to gather information and to handle all the accounts by tally and for the data history of the accounts and purchase and sell of the products.

Gathering of data after Interviews and Questionaire

After coming out with user personas we also came out with needs through questionnaire.

•The major needs included security, less navigation, limited clicks as per online requirement.•Design should be simple and reachable. It should also be accessible. •Designers and artisans work should be promoted.•Design Awareness.

A shopping environment should be interactive and not cumbersome. Mostly people like to buy products which are not tangible.The time and costing of delivery should be minimum.
